Nissan launched the V-spec Skylines to celebrate winning some touring car championchips almost every time. in the end they had to change the rules to give the other cars a chance! the V-spec 'liners do have upgrades - i think Paul has probably covered them. just dont get V-spec decals for your Z tho mate ;) J-spec sounds cool, even tho it doesnt mean anything special (except JDMs are better than UK :x: ;)

i had the same conversion done cos my autobox lost 3rd and 4th gears. not had any regrets doing it - its much more satisfying throwing the gears around yourself, and its better having the control of which gear youre in. how many times has an auto changed down on you at the worst moment! auto tubbies i think are slightly smaller for less lag, but ive not noticed any difference since conversion. the only thing i miss about the autobox is the 'plant your right foot and hold on for dear life'.
