  1. its been going around the team i work in for the last month, i went down with the symptoms saturday evening. felt shite yesterday, still feel shite now but my snot is thickening up so thats a sign that its leaving my body. fight you stupid white blood cells, fight!
  2. yep thats on Jeff's list. coming from the cam end i believe.
  3. im in the process of getting a quote from them to do my interior and new bodykit
  4. i dont know about the door shuts - and i requested not to have the engine bay done - i was on a budget at the time! my Z was originally gunmetal grey, and i think the grey engine bay looks ok with any colour bodywork as obviously it matches the colour of most things IN the engine bay.
  5. yeah keep an eye on fleabay mate. or you can fab one up yourself - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44039
  6. hoi, grey's the best colour for an engine bay, it hides all the marks and engine vomit!
  7. you can tell how good TG is cos they repeated last week's show this week, and I still watched it from start to finish (and pmsl at James May chatting those two girls up.... 'hello!') ps maybe those guys trying to get the Z round the TG track should show them this thread where we're all saying how much we love the show :D
  8. you dont have to do anything mate, but obviously any prep you can do yourself would keep the cost down. when i had my colour change the bodyshop removed the targas, petrol flap, all rear lights and tailgate. sadly the place that did the work are not around any more.
  9. gorgeous motor, at a criminally low price :(
  10. i dont think the Z can be classed as a boy racer car at all - hence not appearing in any of the fast & furious films (good thing?) - its definately an enthusiasts car due to the age, maintenance and running costs, although i can see how the low purchase price appeals to those that want a quick 3.0TT thrill. i'll have owned mine for 6 years next April and not been pulled over once, yet.
  11. top gear by, ooh, 1,000,000,000 miles! :)
  12. thanks for letting me know mate.
  13. i changed from norton to avg - in the end its just as good, at least for a virus killer and email sweeper. i also use Zone Alarm free version, and a couple of spyware killers
  14. just had an update from Jeff - he's taken a look at my leaking roof and noticed that when the bodyshop removed the rubbers to paint my car a few years ago, they hadnt bonded the rubbers back down again properly, and so any water was being allowed to pass underneath the seals. lets see if this sorts the problem....!
  15. FFS!!!
  16. i dont think so, without taking them off and opening them up, but realistically there's so little difference between auto and manwell turbos that its not worth it!
  17. i had a manual conversion and didnt notice any difference between spool up or peak power, although for obvious reasons the car was a different drive altogether. ive since had them rebuilt to manual spec
  18. omg thats horrendous. look at the mirrors! :hurl:
  19. plus lightweight pulley and/or flywheel and/or prop, free-flowing exhaust, cone air filter, and possibly supporting mods like spark plugs, but tbh stock injectors probably wont reach 400 (they'll get pretty close though ;) )
  20. hope the people who got t-boned are ok, but what an idiot. he didnt even try to turn into the skid :xxx:
  21. a general rule of thumb and to play it safe, good for 400bhp, then go for forged pistons.
  22. just think, youve had about a month's worth of bad luck in one day, time for some good luck i think!
  23. thanks Europe, where would we be without you (ah, in our own country...)
  24. pickled walnuts anyone :hurl:
  25. over a decade - in fact so long I can actually remember it off the top of my head!
