  1. No warning lights, its best to completely remove the AIVs if you decat, full run down on how to do this is here never heard of any rough running from cats being removed but would recommend chipping the car.
  2. Not in my opinion, there are a lot of different thoughts on underdrive pulleys, the main one being that the standard one is a balanced weight and without it you may have problems with the crank at a later date, so far many people have fitted them and I have not heard of any problems at all but I would recommend fitting a well known make such as Unorthodox or SGP (speak to Smithy, forum trader) these will not produce an increase in BHP but will allow the engine to spin up faster and most people say they can definately feel the difference, I certainly could. If the cheaper one doesnt spin absolutely true then I would think you will experience problems. The steering coloumn on a LHD is on the left, and opposite side for the RHD, it runs down past the headers and fouls them unless you get the correct ones.
  3. My blitz SUS have been fitted for 3 years and thousands of miles in the rain with a vented headlamp panel with no problems.
  4. All part of the fun as well :D .
  5. The only headers currently available for a RHD are in Australia and are rare, wait till Smithy sorts them out over here, probably just a matter of weeks now. Link to DTA Not impossible to get to 300bhp although that is about the limit you could expect and it would cost thousands, NOS would be a cheap and nasty fix (imo) for higher BHP.
  6. As for manifolds, one of our traders is currently working on them, the ebay ones are for the LHD Z32 and wont fit.
  7. I wouldnt bother with the irridium plugs but all the rest is good, DTA does a good chip for the NA, also think about an underdrive pulley and flywheel if yours is a manual.
  8. Not only is it a 240z but its got a 4ltr TVR Chimaera engine, check out the video of it on the Z forum, I honestly would go out and but this tomorrow if it wasnt for the fact that I think it would take a lot of time and effort to keep the car going due to age and mods and right now I am struggling to find the time to keep my Zed the way I like it.
  9. I was looking at this one for sale on the Z forum, £4k .... so tempting
  10. Thanks for your help guys
  11. Might be worth checking to make sure the Det sensor has not been bypassed, then you could have detonation and no safety boost.
  12. Code 34 will only tell you if the det sensor is working mate?????
  13. Not producing boost? do you know why its not? sounds more like a turbo problem to me and thats causing the sound as well, as Mark just said though, if it is detting badly then try not to drive it as it will melt down and you will end up with no engine.
  14. Yeah, I have heard it a few times so pretty confident if I heard yours I would be able to tell you for definate. Is this continuing on from your marble swirling round in a tin can sound or something completely different?
  15. Usually comes under load and gets louder the more load put on the engine, can get as loud as noisey lifters on start up.
  16. I dont mind driving upto Colchester with it if he thinks he can do it, basically the threaded part that hold the guages and air taps on has snapped, I have bought a big nut that needs to be welded onto the tank and then the new guages can be screwed into it, not sure if that description works or not but I know what I mean, he can take a look and I can leave it with him if he thinks he can do it, cheers Tony
  17. Does anyone near Ipswich own a welder that would be willing to weld the guages and taps back onto my air compressors tank? will bring it to you and pay you cash for your time. Any help gratefully received.

  19. That would of been me, you keep seeing NSXs mate, never seen one round here (shame I dont use me mirrors more  )
  20. Nice little clip, how many England stars can do this? clickety click
  21. Ipswich Vehicle refinishers did mine and I am well happy with the result, but as already said, its going to cost the best part of 2k and you will loose the car for a few weeks.
  22. I will look in the morning, they were off a low mileage engine which was really well cared for so hopefully they will be ok for you, let you know in the morning mate. Good luck with the exhaust, sorry but I dont have one of them in the garage.
  23. I have never looked in one but I have seen others that are a small spring with a piece of plastic on the end, over time they get clogged with oil so cleaning them out might help, I did have a couple off another engine somewhere, if you want I can look tomorrow and see if I can find them and send them to you, not saying they will be any better than the ones you have but if it helps they are yours.
