  1. Not really any set figurtes, cheapest to go for is classic insurance but you will need another car as a daily driver, UK cars are generally cheaper to insure, for me it was about 50 quid cheaper which didnt offset the fact that most UK cars have rust issues now, personally I would only get a UK car if it had a very pampered life and had been garaged all its life, not used on salty roads.
  2. Ring up and get a quote for both for yourself, it will be different for everyone.
  3. Try reading through this, it might help click me
  4. Does your HID kit have metal cased ballast packs?
  5. As a general rule of thumb, a really well tuned up NA will get 100bhp per ltr engine size, so as Legrath says, 300 will be very good going, 460 bit of a joke IMO. You going to tell us who it is :D :D although I think I know.
  6. Pah, im closer to 500, tell him to try harder.
  7. Guys, Smithy said the winner has 7 days to claim or the draw will be done again so it might be best for you not to post up your number as it might stop you getting into the next draw if there is one.
  8. Smithy has just sent me a pm asking me to pick a random number from 1 to 23 inclusive, I am going for number 7 (Barry Sheene's number) I confirm this is my own choice with no prompting or idea of who has which number, thanks, Merry Christmas and good luck. 7
  9. On the build up to the end of another year why dont we all vote on a few things just for fun, there is the yearly awards done at JAE but only the few that attend take part in the vote so something online for eveyone would be nice. 1. 10. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year, a special thanks to Smithy, Danny, AndyZ and Slickpete for your help over the year but also thanks to everyone for the technical guidance through to general banter that gets me through another year of Zed ownership. Looking forward to 2007, seeing new cars and members join and drooling over all the current and past cars as well ....... :duffer: :duffer:
  11. Hi Jack, the car is from www.aus300zx.com I saw it and liked it so borrowed a picture.
  12. Move to Ipswich, we are always in the news just lately
  13. That looks ok from the pictures and description, needs to be seen in the flesh and taken on a long test drive to be sure, rare front bumper as well.
  14. Some of you may remember the last video posted here of Arabian drifting, well heres a compilation of attempts.
  15. Any fuel smell is potentially dangerous, many people have had the problem without the car going up in smoke BUT .........
  16. One of Smithys fuel line kits is the best way to go click here Fuel Line Kit There are numerous fuel lines that cross the plenum and this kit reduces the number right down to just 4 connections. With fuel smells being quite common and the stock lines being old and brittle, upgrading to this full kit not only looks good but also serves a purposee cut to the exact length and hose ends already fitted. The kit comprises of 2 lengths of high pressure pre braided hose, 4 ends, 2 Rubber lined stainless P-clips and an Anodised silver hose seperator. Fits all models of TT and N/A. Anodised Red or Blue £65 ENH010 Chrome £68 ENH011
  17. Its the mug ... wheres mine, I want one as well :p
  18. I read it ..... bwuahahahahahaaaaah
  19. McGuard list a narrow set of locking wheel nuts, my Racing Sparco wheels needed them, I think they call them tuner bolts, they are available from Halfords and as far as I know the only locking wheel nuts that are Thatcham approved.
  20. The ebay ones didnt fit my car without some adjustment, one of the pipes fouled the steering so had to be knocked in with a hammer and the o2 sensors were in the wrong place, added to the fact that build quality was not fantastic and the weld split I had them taken off again and waited a couple of years for the right ones. I have a set of Smithys headers being fitted on the 19th of January and a dyno run 2 weeks after. Also if you see the ebay headers in the flesh you will notice the middle pipes are different lengths on each side, that is because they are a copy of Stillens headers which I also had a set of, the pipes lenghts were altered to fit the LHD cars not RHD cars, some people have managed to fit theirs without problems, others like me not, it is the same with front strut braces, some people can fit them without it fouling the bonnet, others cant. My opinion, get some decent ones, they are not the easiest thing to fit so dont waste time fitting second rate items.
  21. 5.30 + vat each for the screw covers not sure on the strip though.
  22. There have been a couple of Norfolk/Suffolk joint meets in the past, glad to hear you have got the deposit down now, dont forget to get the pictures up once you have her so we can all see.
