I have heard this so many times and still no-one has been able to explain to me why fitting TT injectors into an NA will give you a power increase????? anyone want to throw some light on it now for me?

Seen plenty of drivers do it, they keeping looking at you in their rear view mirror waiting for you to pull out to overtake then they pull across as well for no good reason, sometimes right across, other times just a little to try to scare you, many car drivers, usually male about 50 years old that just see you as a noisey pest.

Have a look at the 10amp fuses, middle row I think in the drivers footwell, one of them has blown.

If its detting and your det sensor is working properly that should pick it up and put the car in safety mode, also I should think its something that can be checked out on a rolling road, hopefully someone will come in with a more reliable answer, I am really out of my depth on the subject.

I am not knowledgable enough to be able to give a confident reply to that link, my initial thought is that the problems he has are related to the engine detting which may in part is caused by removing the EGT, if removal causes such problems then as lymon says adding fuel in those areas should help. I have not heard any noises yet and would still think that a lot of our NAs have been running without this system working properly for years without problems and trying to clean these lines out is going to be a fairly major job, have you looked to see where these lines are? I would say minimum its a plenum off job.

Its very unlikely that the EGR system is working properly now anyway, there are a few current posts about the lines being blocked up, mine has been removed without any noticable difference to the running of the car.

Not too bad, remove centre panel, undo screws that hold in gear shift surround and pull it up a bit to gain access, no need to remove completely just remember not to pull it hard too hard, 16 year old plastic goes brittle, the part with 12DNRP on is help on by 4 screws but no need to remove if just replacing the bulb and if I remember correctly the bulb is in the top right hand corner, standard twist in fitting.

If you mean the white 2 piece clips there is a knack to them and once you know it they are easy, I went to Car Glass and Trim in Ipswich and they showed me it, would pass the info on if I remembered it :headvswal , was a few years ago now.

There is just one under there, might be an idea to take it apart and clean it up in there, they get coated inside with a layer of black soot and shine up a lot better once cleaned, if you only need one then I will send it FOC as an early Chrimbo pressie once they get here.

I use vaseline, if the terminal keep furring up I think its a sign of a bad earth??? could be wrong though, perhaps someone could confirm that.

What colour did you go for? any pictures yet?

Its a standard 501 capless bulb same as the dash bulbs.
