I am really sorry to hear about this mate, i hope you get all your stuff back, it makes me shake in fear that if i would of gave my car a few months later then what i did, i prob wouldnt have my car back as well... -
From the way you say it, sounds like the gearbox has given up the ghost, but normally they will give you a hint before they completely go, like you can only select first etc.... very strange.

Thanks for the pictures mate, i think this proves DO NOT drive your car when there is salt layed down :( My car was spotless before i left, i had to re clean it when i got home!

The sill is meant for tyre changes, but personally i wouldnt ever do it on there, i only jack mine on the chassis rail or if on the rear, the Diff!
