When I converted my auto to manual, I was convinced I'd screwed up with the clutch but unfortunately it just DOES take ages. I had to bleed it again afterwards because the bite point would be too low if I didn't pump the pedal before driving it! As Pete said, it was probably air in the fluid (cavitation). Hope you get it sorted.

9 out of 10 people who rang about my car made appointments and never turned up when it was in the Autotrader. I later received a courtesy call in which the caller put a lot of emphasis on the question "Have you had many calls sir?" I reckon it was the same tw@t who made the 9 appointments cause I've never had that problem before or since. Waste of money if you ask me. Stick to the local rag IMHO.

Sadly the western world is run by banks. If you lend money to the bank, they'll invest it and make money, if you borrow from the bank, they'll make money through high lend-rates. It's amazing how efficiently they managed to nick 20 members of one of our local car-club members for having tinted side-glass at £30 each though isn't it? So sorry to hear this bad news Martin, life is shit sometimes you won't think so now but it won't always be this bad. Both my parents had cancer, my Dad was told he wouldn't see Christmas but lived until the following August. I was really close to my stepfather too who also died some years later. Chin-up mate, he wouldn't want you to be so low.

I'd have one of these V12s, very fast for 1969, sounds and still looks great, very rare nowadays. Worth around £80K-£100K.
