  1. I had paid £35 (should have been £70 but they only asked for £35) - now they've written wanting the rest but have quoted a different street name in error (spelling is wrong).
  2. Usually one at Haigh Hall, Wigan- late summer usually- not very big show when I went last year (2008).
  3. I'd never considered it before- was looking at options to a repair-
  4. john300zxblack- does your mate do this professionally? am considering changing my auto to manual.
  5. Don't fancy paying £3/4 k on a car which cost me less than £3k and is now worth £2k? given the state of the market. hadn't realised the cost- expected it to be in the hundreds! Repair it will be then.
  6. I have some slight parking damage to the rear quarter panel ( just behind passenger door) slight crease in bodywork where something ran in to me at slow speed. Wondering whether to have it repaired ( not had a quote yet) or take the opportunity to fit wide arches both sides. Any thoughts on this re looks/costs etc. I run a TT Black import 1990 which is standard other than the wheels and is very tidy.
  7. That's the one- in west yorks- see you are in north yorks-do you know it?
  8. wondering about buying it for bits (mainly interior) number plate , then breaking it!
  9. Don't know how to post the link but any thoughts on the white uk TT on pistonheads at 1K?

Suggest you look at various threads on here re leaking targas before spending money- various options such as peanut butter (honest) & captain Tolley's creeping crack cure ( not a wind-up).
  11. also can be used to take out of gear on an auto with flat battery!
  12. The ticket was correct- its the recent demand for the 'missing' £35 that has the wrong road name.
  13. Thanks for that - I want to be able to quote some 'legalese' to them if possible but I will contest it. Merry Xmas hope to see you at meets in 2009.
  14. Got parking ticket but didn't pay before the reduced price deadline so should pay £70. When I paid the fine I was asked for £35 not £70! Paid £35- result I thought. Now got letter from council (Notice to Owner) requiring I pay the fine in full. I have noticed that they now state the wrong road name- only one letter different Bridge Street not Bride Street. Can I get out of paying the additional £35 as I wasn't in Bridge Street?!!
  15. Is it pearl yellow- seems to have a tinge of green. what is the 'other' yellow called. The interior may be a good bargaining point- is price reasonable ignoring the interior?
  16. Thanks for that! must subscribe!
  17. No probs - I've got 3 plates but only two cars- can i gauge interest on here or do I have to be a subscribed member & use Items for Sale section? By the way are there any NW meets other than the proposed one on 15 Feb?
  18. What plate are you looking for- will keep my eyes open for it or similar as I'm a bit of a plate spotting junkie!
  19. would prefer to keep car standard but what's likely cost of a uk rear bumper & how difficult to fit?
  20. have recently bought a personal reg & am wondering if i can legally fit it to my 300. Front is no prob as room for standard UK plate. On rear plate would like to have full reg on one line but not sure if there is enough room to take all letters/digits legally. Anyone help on this? the reg is CHR 151 S.
  21. does anyone know of a site which draws together details of corporate events/parties? Looking for something a bit different from go-kart, paint-ball etc. any personal recommendations also welcome.
