Filled up tonight...Get it while it's in!!

I was in my Golf, and when i passsed you Beeped, waved and flashed my Hazards!! I nearly came to work in the Z this morning and only wish i had now! You peeled off at 32 and went up the A470? I'm TubZ...I pulled up at the lights to give you my card but you were too far back!

I use the link in your e-mail Darrel and get a regular e-mail update...problem is 'super' can be anything from 97 - 99 Ron on that site! Went for a spin tonight to fill up and two Large Tesco's had no 99 Ron in stock (my nearesdt shell for Optimax is 25miles away)...Both garages reckon it's on back order for another 2 weeks....Seems very strange though????!!!

Alloy flywheels are for cars you have the engine out of regularly in my opinion....i.e. Rally and track cars! The Flywheel assists in the "Throw" of an engine and is why the Z flywheel is big and heavy!...Much the same as lightweight pullys they'll allow it to rev-up more quickly, but use of one needs to be carefully considered in terms of engine reliability and maintenence interval on the rest of the engine components.....They spent millions designing the engine with 'balance' in mind and would have used a lightweight flywheel if engineering dictated! just my opinion of course...

Kirbz if you had a GT TDI Golf then pick something with a similar engine??...I went through this decision a while ago now, but with no kids or Dogs i went for what you had before and bought a GT tdi golf. Look at the Passat Estate highline, A4 Avant, Audi A3, etc etc. Like you said the engines are top notch for economy and have a decent bit of oompfh if needed, plus i've always found german engineering to be fairly faultless onmy previous dubs and Audis......

In my opinion it's people who pootle around at 40mph on national speed limit A roads, and hold trucks up by driving at 50mph on the motorway that cause accidents....but yes they're considered safe drivers cause they're going slowly... Sorry to go off topic guys, but are thise wheels on the yellow Z that si posted the same as the ones on his car? I really like those in Gunmetal.....I have some GR esfida that i'm waiting to refurb and wondering if thats what they are??

Monster bottles in Macro...usually on offer about 2 for £1.50 ish?? better value than the small ones in your supermarket if you guzzle the stuff with sarnies and pork pies as well as the occasional dinner ;-)

Nice cars...Drove one for a couple of weeks when i worked out in Dubai. I reckon they have one of the smoothest auto gearboxes i've ever come across....no lurch on change up when you plant your right foot on the floor! Always fancied those wheels on my Z too...Nice looking car.

I suspect it's because you're in the west of Ireland!...I had this before in West Wales when i ran a plumbing company with my father. Used to get stuff sent by large couriers, but they'd go as far as a Swansea depot, and then sub contract to some micky mouse oufit for beyond there! Thus, that small firm might wait 4 days until it has enough jobs to warrant the journey....we were forever driving to collect stuff from Swansea that we needed for urgent jobs, as the smaller firms would always give you the runaround.....All you can do is put a claim in and get a refund on the cost from teh main company....They rarely apologise and i bet when it does turn up it's not a Fedex truck or van!!

Aus for me...I want to emigrate and have my kids there...

Martin, as i alluded to in the thread previously i can't do this one as it's the mrs Birthday weekend. Any other time i would be able to make the commitment and will make the effort next time, but unfortunatly this is bad timing. sorry for the let down. TubZ

Get it reported!...I would report the driver of the police car for driving "without due care and attention"!!

Sometimes they just call them in. Had a private plate on my golf and that got pulled in for a check when the seller retained the plate and i had the original number re-allocated....apparently they do one in ten now?...perhaps it was just done on this basis?

My Mrs Birthday weekend, so a no go for me probably...might be able to go if enough go though....I'll then be able to say everyone's going but me!!!!

IMO it ruins the look of the car and it's smooth lines...If i wanted to drive a square box, i'd have bought a skyline :x:

EBC on mine with standard pads and been fine for nearly 3 years....Drive with a bit of anticipation!!
