  2. ok last thread for now im sure people are getting annoyed with all my problems. I want to remove my standard spolier as the paint has all cracked, how many holes will there be behind it that i will need to fill in?
  3. regasing? yeah i tried wd40 the actual fan has play in it ah wel. will have to cope witht the noise.

  5. yeah your probably right, may aswell go for an upgrade while im at it, but there are so many things that need doing, id rather spend the money where it needs it more first.

Recently went to get my tracking done and i was told all my cambers are out but the car has not been lowered or anything of that sort so i was wondering why they would have moved? i couldnt have the cambers straightend as they are not adjustable :( whats the best thing to do? Ive seen adjustable rear cambers on ebay???? anygood?

Its seems as tho when driving at high speeds my rear end is moving about and it feels scary, i want to get out my top speed but cant as it feels like my zed is drunk. i had the car up on a ramp the other day and the rear wheels have play from left to right, my friend is a mechanc and he said its the bottom ball joints on the wishbone but he is far from an expert and didnt even realise the hicas system existed. now i want this fixed but i dont want to fork out all this money on the wrong parts. how can i be sure where the problem is?

Ok following my idle problems my z is now idling even worse, its idling very unstable and goes lower than .500 rpm sounds like it will stall but it just moves about all crazy. yesterday i took off the sensors including the one on the air intake and cleaned them but i sprayed switch lube on them :S maybe this was a bad idea as now its idling lower than before when it was idling too high???? oo and i also just put on an induction filter this afternoon :) can anyone tell me what i have done??? The idle position switch (i think thats wat its called) seems to be in the wrong position as its turned as far as it will go anti clockwise, and if i position it central it idles too high ggrrrrrrrrr.
  9. yep i checked the connectors they sen to be on, but i do have a few things disconnected which i dont know what they are they were behind the speedo and i pulled them down, one was these blue wires with two connectors on the end duno where they go... and the other is a big connector which is quite long god knows where they go. mind you when i bought the car i found in my glove compartment a little black box with a place for a connector to go and a little metal bracket on it. maybe this has something to do with it???
  10. yeah i looked at the price for the booster... wow think il try repair the booster first.. hopefully its just a broken hose..
  11. how comes u know absolutely everything andy???? run me thru that last bit? u think its the sensors? what they look like and whats the exact location?
  12. ihave not taken the booster out yet, are there nipples on the end of the booster with pipes? jjust saw a pic of a new booster and looks like there is, so just like u said the hose may be loose or split, would be very happy if this is the case as i can repair myself, im hoping it is but i dont want to have to take it apart and back together to order a new booster doh :( still need to drive the thing sorry ZED

  16. Whats that tiny fan for ,at the top left of the inside of the car in the middle of the tbar where the interior light is? mine makes an annoying noise.... ahhhhh and my aircon and climate control doesnt work would that have anything to do with it? my heating only comes out hot and not cold???/
  17. i have a spair right hand side control unit with the head lights fog and dimer if thats the prob then u can have it :)
  18. yeah its side to side. so ur saying its not the wishbones? i had them checked at my mates garage he said it was the ball joints, but they are suppose to turn i suppose. so what speed does the steering activate? and how can i tell if soemone has deactivated it? oh and let me know if u see a clutch booster, il be getting a tired leg. and from a previous thread, i said when its cold its hard to get it into 1st and second crunchs, u said clutch needs bleeding do u think that will solve it? what else could it be just in case?
  19. yeah i dont want to spam the forum with loads of my threads. u shud be able to see the rear wheels turn slighty when the car is still at full lock, it does not move at all. and the rear wishbone ball joints have play in them which im sure they wont pass mot, i have changed the hazard switch etc taken it apart a few times, duno whats wrong with them, and yes it is an import doe that mean i dont need a fog?
  20. Thanks once again andy :) il try my best. so annoying. i got loads of other probs i have not even started on :( cant get rear fog light working or hazards for MOT :( rear wishbones need replacing too and i dont think my rear wheel steering is workng :( ah well
  21. ok so it is where the actual clutch pedal is? so i will need to buy a new one? i shuved my head down there and located the noise, u think its split or something? really dont wanna start spending money on that :(
  22. yeah thats where the funny wistle noise sounds like its coming from. damn, so thats why its also idling high? any tips?
  23. andyduff just said it could be the booster diaphram... so how do i fix it? where is it? i got my hands dirty now so i might aswell go for it.
  24. ok cleaned the sensor etc and checked idle sensor is fine. must be booster diaphram... where is it what do i do? i do hear a wistle noise when i press the clutch in???? like air comeing out or sumthing.
