can someone guide me to a good resource for a new gearbox mount/mounts how many are there? and i think i need a new driveshaft carrier bearing as my car has a lot of vibration before 1500rpm just annoying and embarrasing with a passenger. i also get a bit of a thump noise from the rear when in reverse and releasing the clutch? does anyone know if its cheaper to buy parts from america or will i get charged tax? :):):):) ;)

im hoping to god that doesnt happen but im sure it will. i sold my fiat coupe 20v turbo to a friend last yeah and the engine siezed up the other day but he is a mechanic and is rebuilding it himself i think he bent a com rod, had a hybrid turbo and lots of bits done to it. he has neglected it, haha i saw it in the garage the other day and the tyres were down to the wire haha.

ok i fixed the idle prob, was obvious coz of the leaky clutch booster so i just blocked the vacume pipe, another bodge until i repair the booster. BUT NOW AAAAHHHHH the door open warning light stays on constantly even tho the door is shut and if the door is open the warning light gets brighter, this in turn has disabled my stereo and interior lights, if i switch on one of the read lights they give out a tiny amount of light for about a second then nothing. if anyone has had this same prob plz plz help as i have enough problems already. :confused: :confused:

cheers for the help guys, yeah igot the car on an ok price 2000 quid, just has not been looked after too well, the previous owners seemed like bodgers, the only good thing is the engine. oil is so clean... hmmmm apart from the oil leak haha typical.

il have a stiff clutch but its better than a dodgy idle.

oh yeah forgot bout that.... ok i need to take that vac pipe out and seal it? that should sort it then i hope.

ok thats ok thats the one i replaced, anyways when i replaced it i started it up and the same thing is happening? so now i have unplugged my car battery and am going to reset the ecu, god knows if it will work. hope it does :)

wait a minute there is a water temp sensor and a coolant temp sensor which one we talking about? the one on the left or right? i replaced the one on the left with the yellow connector.

and how do i reset the ecu? unplug the battery and leave it?

ok i just changed the water sensor and no luck its still idling like a dog. what now?

sorry im bit new to this... whats the afm and cas? when i repositon the throttle position it idles way too high and just now while it was idling too high the right end can started smoking geeeez, but it seems ok now and isnt smoking.
