  1. They work out much cheaper if you buy a gauge and not the sensor. Was just wondering, i have my water temp and oil pressure sensor earth on the plenum is that a good earth point or not?
  2. Ahhhhhhh I dont know which to buy. Fuel pressure gauge oil temp gauge air intake gauge exhaust gas gauge air fuel gauge i want them all
  3. Ok Im doing some research on fitting: 1. Air/fuel gauge Am i correct in thinking that all i have to do to fit this is to wire in the gauge to the RHS & LHS o2 sensor ecu wires and jobs a gooden? 2. intake charge temp Ive looked around ebay and a few other sources for a intake charge gauge with no luck :( Anyone have one of these fitted and knows where to buy one from? Do both banks need to be probed or just one side? 3. exhaust gas temp Found the gauge i want BUT where do i fit the sensor? nearest to the manifolds i would have thought!! and as above do both sides need to be probed? Thank in advnace guys :D
  4. oh yes and those :D Ive done all those checks and more but i still get slight hesitation :( The love of zed ownership :D
  5. PTU? Air leak?
  6. Dan Il have a look at that now :D I just wanted to clarify which way round it was. Il have a day of adjustments when i do fit them. The jap rear sway bar i have on at the mo is rather skinny like you said and i think its whats causing the unwanted oversteer now that everything else is uprated and stiffer over all.
  7. Im going to buy the stillen sway bar kit with end links tonight, I want to fine tune the zed so i have slightly less understeer and slightly more oversteer Would The rear have to be soft and front hard for this affect? Or is it the other way round? Been reading the us forum but i dont trust too much of what the yanks say Thanks
  8. Looking good so far.:bow: Can i advise you to change them steering rack bushings while engine is out coz the driverside one is a pita to change in situ, They cost F-all and made a hell of a difference to the response of the wheel. :D You may aswell change the steering pivot bush while your at it too :D http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/products/stainless-steering-bush.html Keep on keeping on :D
  9. may be able to make this. Depending!!!!
  10. Try doing a big fat burnout maybe that'l straighten them out, if it doesnt at least it was fun :D
  11. ok im confused now!! What i was trying to say is when you stretch fit a tyre you change the rolling radius and make it smaller so depending on what wheel sizes and tyre profile you have on the radius can vary on the front and rear. does that make sense? Both my front and backs are on 40 and slightly stretched which brings down the radius thats why i have a 40 at the mo. :P
  12. your right it doesnt, only the rear wheels will affect the speedo reading but the fronts still need to be in proportion.
  13. The rolling radius is kept stock as the tyre is slightly stretched on the wider wheel so it lowers the profile. I think. Speedo is pretty spot on. Matches the tom tom speed till bout 50mph. I am looking for 35's on the rear at some stage they are just the same tyres i got when i bought the wheels so il wait till they are worn and go for a wider and lower profile on the rear once i roll out my arches.
  14. wider front tyres is not always necessarily better, i have 225/40 which gives me a quicker turn in and response. I think. I still have room tho for wider when i feel like it. No room at the rear tho :D
  15. A Good known PTU and MAF? Need to iliminate these as the problem so i can more forward. Will obviously cover postage costs if they need to be sent. Thanks :D
  16. Hay i used to have one of those years ago, I wrote mine of too, but i just left it on the side of the road and someone stole it in the end good ridence i thought :D Was a right mess.
  17. Maybe a sagging GB mount or prop bearing donut but then again u said from the rear so maybe not..... sometimes if the diff is touching the lower mounting bracket it will make noise mine has about 1mm clearance. mine is loud as hell with uprated bushings etc. Take out the diff filler plug and if some fluid comes out then its full if none comes out then stick you little finger in and see how far down it goes before touching oil. If it needs more oil then top it up till the oil starts to come out that will give you the correct level, If its a dirty colour id drain and change it all anyway.
  18. Lovely doggy there alan :D
  19. awwwww hes riddickulous :D

  22. Det sensor wont cause flat spots, if its faulty it will jyst enter safety mode and enable actuator boost. unless its intermitent?
  23. Must have been protyre mate.... Big blue place?
  24. I belive its just on the left side of the splash guard plastic thing, connector is next to the aircon tank thingy. you may have forgoten to disconnect it while pulling the bumper off... oops.
