Swaped my silver auto for a impreza wrx last night. the scoobie is only in the country 4 months and is very clean. not sure if should sell it or have a little fun in it first. am doing alot of work on chewies red 300 as the engine is runnin very bad and the belts need doing so might drive the scoobie untill its done then sell it.

its made by a company called kingwood. pic attached

need to buy a ballast as one my z is blowing the fuse everytime i turn on the lights. just to be sure i switched it to the other side and it blew the fuse on that side too. any idea where i can find one,

Sorted the earth wire prob but now its blowing fuse and the beams are on the drivers side even when i switch to driving lights. Not sure now whats wrong.

i feel like an idiot even thinking this was close to real. thanks for the info folks. luckily i have a real person wanting to see it tomorrow.

Sorted, broken earth wire. Hard to get at but managed it thanks.

Small prob, passenger side headlights are not working so i checked the power imput to discover that there is very little power going into the zenon power box ( not sure what its called) compared to the drivers side. any sugestions it has me stumped.

changing leather on seats for a two tone. sound system in boot. not much else to do i think.

i expected to have a few jobs to do to it as it is 17 years old and things tend to wear out and need replacing. also got a complete bushing set from the states just to tighten up few things. dont worry as the car will look the same as u had it but will just have a few littlle richard touches.:D

some good news after a bad day. done a full datascan and fault code read and showed no faults. so apart from air flow meter and exhaust bolts all well.:dance:

i think it sounded like that was because it was blowing out badly from the first bend after the manifold. still sounds good but must put at least one more stud into the flange to stop blow out. i have a full doner car and pump is working fine. u need one i take it. where u from.

got the car up on a lift today to examine the underbody and do some sealing under there. found that the exhaust was broken on the first bend after the manifold. so i got to work on replacing the whole exhaust front to back. oh how i wish i didnt. one side had only 1 bolt holding it on and i sheered that. so i had to grind it down and drill out the old bolts. took me three hours just to do that. was only able to drill out one as i used all the 5 drill bits i had on that. so put on new stainless steel exhaust with 3 bolts on one side and 1 on the other and now there is smoke coming in through the engine bay and into the car. may need to weld it closed for now until i can drill out the other two.took off back skirt to fit other one but it needs to be cut a little to fit with new exhausts. air flow meter needs replacing but thats only small job and have one off my doner car that will do.

sorted all the radio wiring today and fitted new elec aerial and amp, also replaced all the amp wiring front to back. sweet sounds pounding out now. its booked in tomorrow to get new rear skirt added to bumper nd respray front wing. not much more to do apart from the usual timing belt and water pump and a service. i am lucky as i have a doner 300 and can take all the bits i need off that. save me alot.

Only spoke with him for a few mins but seemed like a honest guy. gonna work hard to keep his car lookin as sweet as it is now. needs a few touches like turbo timer and to fix rear bumper, small things but need fix them to preserve the look of the car.

i seem like the bad guy here as im the one who bought it but it has gone to a good home and have already set about tryin to improve on it. its a sweet machine and will keep it chewie like but will add a few little touches myself. i still have my 91 auto TT which i hope will also find a good home as i have invested several thousands in it and has served me well. your very welcome chewie to see your lady whenever u want and we might travel to meets together and get together with your mates from the z club.

IF GOING TO LUXOR ASK FOR SHADI AT THE SHOPS IN FRONT OF IBEROTEL AND HE WILL HELP YOU AND GET YOU WHATEVER U NEED AT WAY BETTER PRICES. 6 DONT BUY ANYTHING ON ANY TRAVEL GUIDED EXCURSIONS AS TRAVEL GUIDE GETS A HUGE COMMISSION.
