Hey Mick, well i tested it last week and she failed on battery clamp and some corrosion around the chassis but getting that sorted easily next week. the interior is somthing iv wanted to do for a while. tried to change it already but looks awful at the mo so i will go back to basic and start again. as with previous message got 1 sorted from Toker up north. its the original interior but wont make same mistakes as last time. will post picks when that is done. Hi all, well just got made redundant from Nissan so on the dole for the first time in 10 years. But anyway more to the point i am in dire need of a new interior (door cards, glove box cover, center console sides and so on). now as many of ye know i have a scraped 300tt in my garage but the door cards and stuff were the same auld type and wanna get something differant. My Z is going for the NCT on tuesday 25 ( also my birthday) so when she passes i want to get down and dirty with the interior. If anybody knows where i can get an interior i would appreciate it alot.

i tried to clean aacv but no good so all i did was remove ecu locate pin 44 grounded it and it seemed to work. gonna drive it alot now just to make sure all is ok. thanks for all your help.

ok everyone the news is good, i grounded pin 44 and down the revs dropped. it was a simple job but one i put off due to not like messin wiv electrics. so looks like im heading for mondello. see ye there.

i am gonna try and ground pin 44 on ecu today in a final bid to get to mondello on sunday. gonna also replace the connections on aacv and other connections gonna clean as good as i can. would love to meet ye all up there so wish me luck.

hi folks well its my car chewie is on about. ( his old car ) and today i pluged in my conzult and it gave an option for active test. when i pressed it it then gave me an option to adjust base idle ( press start ), when i did this the idle dropped down to 800, this only lasted until i unpluged the conzult wire, when then again it returned to 2000rpm. now other thing i noticed today was i fiddled with the aacv conection and the idle jumped as if the connection was faulty so i am gonna check that tomorrow. if anyone has a pic of the ecu for me to ground the pin 44 i would appreciate it alot. And once again many THANKS for your help i really want to drive it and its killin me being parked up all the gtime.

cheers mate i know its not your problem but i am at my wits end with this so any help i can get i much needed. i know its something small and its a matter of eliminating possible faults, which is what i am doing. will give u a ring next week as i am in uk for a few days with the family. also thinkin of payin a visit to jeff to see what he can show me.

yea i know it is but is so much to these engines i could be checking for a year and be no closer. thinkin of bring it over to jeff in zedworld so he can get it right for me.

ok striped down the front of engine to get at electric connection so i can clean them. put everything back together again all cleaned and once again its still runnin at high idle. checked aac valve and also cleaned that to no avail. addjusted the base idle screw and it took it down to 1000 rpm and thats was great till i went for a drive and now its runnin 2000rpm. if i was a drinking man i would be on my 5th bottle of southern comfort now.if its wasnt for all the hard work that chewie put in to the car i would take a sledge to it. but tomorrow is another day so i will try something else. great experience on the engine tho im getting. would rather be drivin it tho.

yea he gave me a few clues as to what it might be but after six hours last nite still no luck. foung a fuel leak though. im so pissed that it is layed up in my garage and cant drive it. even thinkin of just sellin it and cuttin my losses.

havin big probs with 300. still cant figure out why she has high idle. tryin the aac valve tonight so if all goes well i will pick chewie up and make it. if not i can be found swingin from my garage rafters. fingers crossed

na done the belt and pump and cleaned all the conectors but still no luck so i have decided to just let a pro give it a complete overhaul, it may cost a few quid but its not possible to drive it like this as it is missin badly now. he is gonna take it next monday and keep it for a week to get it right. with any luck he will get it going right for me to enjoy it till its parked up for the winter. Not sure if i sound like a dope but where is the neutral switch. It said above that it is where the gear lever is and has to be held in the in position with a tie wrap. Does anyone have any pics of this as i am not big into wiring things and would more than likely make a balls of it. Thanks again guys.

ok timing belt should be finished tomorrow and then i will check the neutral switch. Thanks guys. Yep its chewies old car and is a credit to him as he has spent alot of time and effort on it so i am only tryin to iron out the finer details to get her runnin sweet like i had my old TT.

My 1991 300zx TT Jap import is running at 1500rpm at idle and was thinking it might be a cam belt problem and since i have only purchased the car decided to change it anyway. The car was an Auto converted to manual. What would cause it to run at such high revs. Some lad messed with the the timing to try and sort it but made it worse. afraid to drive it now in case it wrecks my engine.

Got my insurance off Britton Insurance in Donegal who are brokers and for fully comp am insured for 553 euro. May be higher due to lhd but its worth a call.

will give him the spare box and the rest is up to him. i am a fair person and would not wish that on anyone but sayin that i can not be held responsible for the box breaking. i actually feel sorry for the dude so will find someone who will do the job and he can pay him.

The lad that took the 300 for the scoobie rang me last night sayin the gearbox went on the 300. As u would expect he was quiet pissed over it. I told him it was a trade sale but i would send him the spare box i have but he would have to get it fitted himself. Am i actin the bo---cks or should i get it done for him. When i gave him the car he test drove it and was happy and it was driving great but he thinks i have robbed him. The spare box i have cost me 800 euro and 200 to get it delivered.

needs a moppin first but will have them up by sunday if it stops raining. its still fairly standard but am lookin into gettin a few little bits for it.
