does anyone actually like this new site format
I like the new fomat but the search option isn't as good! If you say type in something like "Aircon dead", then everything with the word aircon comes up and not releated to "Aircon Dead" also more common ones like "Boost Leak" everything with just the word boost from boost upgrades comes up!!!

Standard or updated suspension
The state of our blooy roads at the moment having too much of a stiff set up isn't nice!! Combine that with skinny profile tyres with no absorbing properties a lot of people fill find themselves skipping over bumps and loosing there fillings in there mouth!! Unfortunately our roads are just shocking, and not nice and smooth like a race track where you would benifit from a stiff set up.. As carmad says, new standard shocks over 20+ year worn ones make a hell of a difference without being uncomfortable. Gotta ask yourself how much time you spend driving around on the public roads to actually benifit the cost of fitting uprated suspension over standard. When they made the Z32 they didn't sit there and think, hangon wait i've got an idea, lets fit some really crap suspension to it!!!

Wipers Aircon and clock DEAD!!
Yeah, sorted the targa drain tube last year when it was dripping over the fuse board and causing my left indicator to stay on perminantly even when the keys were removed from the ignition!! Lots of nasty fizzing happening back then and my battery went flat!! Replaced the targa drain tube with some hose pipe, its still attached and connected to the bottom drain nipple. Nice and dry down there!! Always worth checking again tho!

Wipers Aircon and clock DEAD!!
Well finally sorted it! It did turn out to be a dead relay on the back of the fuse board! One of the blue ones with the common 25230 serial number on it.. One relay controls the blower motor and the other controls the power to the accessories. My one was very corroded and when putting a voltage through the bottom pins it wasn't clicking in or out... Swapped it for the blue Sub Relay in the engine bay and everything is back to life, aircon pod, clock and now the wipers work!! Big thank you to Grooverfor the wiring diagram and for pointing me in the right direction! Your a star!! Hope this thread can help someone else one day if they have this trouble... Just daft that Nissan had this setup reliant on one relay powering up the wipers and aircon pod at the same time.. I put it down to, there Japanese that designed it and they can... Here is the old offending relay: Good job there are plenty of Nissans in scrap yards that use this 25230 relay.. Had a look yesterday and things like micras. nissan pathfinders, primeras, 200sx are just some i came across!!

Wipers Aircon and clock DEAD!!
Morning all! As most of you know my Z is my daily drive. Got a problem that occured a few days ago, everything was fine then when I went to start the car one morning I noticed I had no display on my aircon or clock.. Also the Front wipers won't work!!! The following day it was still dead but on a drive went over a bump and everything Sprung back into life and started working again! Great I thought!!! Then on leaving work the other day nothing at all again and now it still dead... Im assuming A relay has died on the back of the fusebox next to the drivers accelaerator pedal.. Anyone know what colour relay controls those accesories so I can swap it and bring everything back to life??? Thanks for anyone who can help me!!!

rear wobble/ unstable?
Also to note it could be your rear shocks!! Had this on mine when the backend was wobbly... Got rid of the ball joints and HICAS and changed for the Driftworks total HICAS elimination kit, still didn't cure the prob but it turned out to be the shocks... Especially noticable at speed down the dual carrage way... You would go over a bump or bit of uneven road and it felt like one side was skipping as it was not absorbing the bumps!!

Part worn tyre advice
Never really had a problem with part worn's. On my second lot now and generally get just over a years use out of them... Just gotta be careful tho to check those ebay adverts and make sure the tyres are not punchure repaired or have any side wall defects in them... Ordered some tyres before and noticed they had been punchure repaired even tho it didn't say it in the advert... This is ok as it had been professionally done but wouldn't wanna be doing silly speeds in the Z... Would love new tyres but tyre prices have gone through the roof recently and even part worn's are now quiet expensive but better paying that and staying legal than having a big fine and points on your licence for bold tyres.

new tv recomendations
Err close, Samsung have been making there own screen's since 2002 and these have been present in other tv's. Sony we're the ones that used to use them and LG we're apparant in Philips Tv's of there day, Tesco's Tecknika range, Comet's Proline range, And Dixon's / Curry's Matsui range.. Not a bad thing tho, the main crux is the mother boards present in these TV's that control the actual panel, that can make a BIG difference, like having a cheap laptop and a really good one!! Sony as well as doing some of there own also use some Sharp panels.. I tend to find the picture on Sony panel's very dull and foggy compaired to the other manufacturers.. Also worth noting there is a lot of lag in the menu's and chanel change over for those who like chanel surfing! SAMSUNG best of lcd / led technology PANASONIC if your going down the route of plasma..

new tv recomendations
Samsung are the best manufacturers of LED technology, 400Hz or 800Hz models produce the best pictures.. 1Mhz Technology will be out mid way through the year tho. Also Comet have the best deals on Samsung Tv's at the mo and the staff are more knowledgeable than Curry's on John Lewis!!

Targa pipe tech .... again
Another great write up Jeff! Fixed mine last year following your previous thread... My fuse box was wet causing the left hand side indicators to come on by them self and stay on not flashing... Of course the battery was flat the next day when I would try to go to work cause they came on by themself overnight!! Lots of hissing by the fusebox... While replacing the targa drain hose, took the fusebox out and dried it gently with a hair dryer... 12 Months on and still ok!!
