  1. As it sits now... Gap between the tyre and the arch... If you look at the tread (the black line) you can see where it's been rubbing and cutting in... Another view Front looking to the back of the car... Top down view Cutting in...
  2. Yeah I mean it was fine with standard shocks and springs, it's just since fitting the new suspension set up, it just sits a little too low!!
  3. When i got the alloys again about 10 years ago now they came with 265's on them but the alloy wheel rim was then exposed and got a bit of curbing!! Eventually when it was time to replace the tyres I went bigger to 285 and the tyres sit just nice now while giving protection to the rim.. Even had 295 on the back once but that was a little too wide... Haven't really got time to have the arche's rolled as my Z is my daily drive!
  4. Morning all! Fitted my KYB AGX adjustable shocks and Ebach springs yesterday but have a slight problem with my Rear Tyres grinding on the arche's when going over bumps... It's fine when driving along normally but if i go over a bump in the road you can hear it rubbing the arch as the wheel is trying to go up there.. Now my tyres are 285/35/18 on a 10j rim and are getting on a bit so thinking of maybe changing them to 285/30/18 so they are not as tall and may just help when going over bumps. Was trying to find 275/30/18 on the net but that size doesn't exist and 265/35/18 on a 10j rim the tyres are too stretched on and the wheel rim's have no protection! At the moment the tyres are quiet wide and just slightly stick out from the rear arches a fraction by a few mm. Another option maybe would be adjustable upper rear arms but cause of the chunky tyres don't know if this would help! Im currently running the rear KYB AGX on 7 and over big bumps it does grind, they only go up to 8... Had them on 5 originally but they would grind on the arche's more! If anyone could help me out please here that would be much appreciated!! Thanks!
  5. Need to do mine soon as the Royal Purple i've got running in my gearbox is very notchy going from 1st to 2nd... Sometime it's a pig to get it in!!
  6. Always wondered if there was a vid of this! Good Find!
  7. I used RTV silicon sealant the JeffTT recommended.. Bought it for £1.99 delivered off ebay and 2 years later, still no leaks! Goes like rubber and was able to form newer thicker parts on the rubber that had shrunk over the years.
  8. So I take it the PFR6B-11B arn't available anymore then? We're these suppose to be better than the current PFR6B-11C because they we're a little longer?
  9. and mine! Nice to be paying under £200 isn't it!
  10. I remember car of the month! Yeah think it should be brought back, was fun!
  11. Zed's to be dynoed in 4th gear as it's a 1:1 ratio... Any other gear will give "Other Results"
  12. Yep! In that vid is pretty much what mine is doing only my revs sometime get a bigger bounce dropping sometime to below 450ish rpm then it nearly stalls... Some times i get a little bounce like in your video then it will stabalise at 1000rpm.. Normally better when there is no auxilarys on. These dark cold mornings tho mean lights are on, heater, rear demister, causes it to bounce more!! Like you say if i just press the front screen air con demister on then that stops the bounce as the revs rise to compensate for the air con unit... Eats fuel and fumes out the cars behind tho!
  13. Mines becoming a pain, very intermittent. No air leaks but think the Idle control valve is sticky. Think it needs taking of and given a clean. Only happens when up to temp so sometimes sitting in traffic it can rise then drop then rise then drop then sometimes be on the verge of stalling... This only happens when the Z is fully warmed up.. It's ok from cold, no bouncy idle.
  14. That Continental GT made a good rally car!!
  15. Payment sent! Thanks again Bazz for selling these to me! Also thank you to everyone else as well for there help!
  16. Resent as baz_michael@hotmail.com Hope you get it!
  17. BAZZ! I'm quiet interested in these! Does it lower the car by much as I have a silly front bumper on mine with standard suspension that can just make it over speed humps!! Admitadly my fronts are worn out so looking at old photo's of my Z when I first had it, the gap between the 18" wheels and arch as dropped over the years!!!
  18. Hi Rich and thanks for your reply! No my Z is not standard apart from the shocks! I had the OEM rears done last year so at least the backend is nice and tight along with the Driftworks HICAS elimination kit! So only need the fronts but had a look on Z centre website and there is only a tenner difference between a pair of standard front shocks from Luke and then he wants shipping prices on top and the bilstiens which are free delivery!! Springs we're done about 5 years ago... As you say i'll prob give Mike at MJP a call in the week.
  19. OK ever since owning my Z which is 11 Years now I have never changed the front shock absorbers! They now really bloody need doing as I don't think they have been changed in the life of the car and it's getting to be a bit like driving a bouncy castle!! I don't need anything flash but something just a little better than stock standard that is going cheap!! I've found these 2 and wondering which would be best to go for... Of course if you know of any others going for around these prices then please send me the link!! Thanks guys!!
