  1. Hi, I have just searched my hotmail and found you email. I don't use my hotmail account much apart from msn so was unaware of your email. I have now replied. thanks, Chris.
  2. They are pretty sweet and should be reliable i would imagine being german and bmw. Out of curiosity where else are you selling your parts?
  3. I thought about a BMW 850CSI about £6000 and they are rare. V12 :D
  4. Yeah totally mate. Has your choice been 100% made or are you still thinking about it? Really is so sad isn't it.
  5. Yeah so back on subject. Think the NSX route is the right one. Is very sad for me as i loved my 300 but at the same time it is exciting to be looking for new cars. That is also not mentioning my body work, i have a tailgate with a genuine skyline spoiler and the perspex backing I have a brand new and boxed Vis racing carbon vented bonnet. 99 spec looking lights. Chrome 99 style inserts with a hid kit. full genuine 99 spec rear light setup. Genuine wings west bumper, Urethane plastic, no cheap copy. Overal i did have many really cool parts i had collected and sourced throughout my 6+ years of ownership. I don't know if to cry or jump for joy lol.
  6. I have given it some thought and although i want to stick with the Zed mainly to prove to myself i didnt let it beat me i think i am talking and thinking crazy. I have some very rare and unique parts for sale if this is the case. I believe i am the only person in the UK to have a Quaife ATB Limited slip diff which is miles ahead of the jap brands as they use clutchs as where the Quaife is cogs. I also have the Leader gears 4.10 gearing. Both fitted into my transfer box and brand spanking new. Cost me the earth to buy this item and according to Quaife UK they never made a diff for the 300zx however i got my hands on a Limited run from Quaife USA. I also have a full set of Bride car specific car mats. Brand new. Central 20 Sport centre guage cluster, like the Stillen one but this is for the right hand drive. K sport 8 pot brakes. K sport coilovers Bride seat rails. Plus other rare parts. Well the brakes and suspension are not rare but the others are. Everything is brand new and imported myself. the Suspension has only done 1000 road miles. Oh and also have a full set of Carbin strut braces. Front + back. Brand spanking new. Also a alluminium undertray for the front which replaces the plastic one. I like rare options and parts hence why some of the parts you will never have seen before and how i could justify spending silly money for certain items.
  7. Just the one but i have loads of parts for sale. mostly brand new. and aftermarket parts. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=132585
  8. They are rather rare. I better get busy and sell some parts then lol.
  9. Paul we can still go maybe in fancy dress, how about swat gear with real ammo :P
  10. Oh no... The Nsx i was going to look at has sold.
  11. That is one awesome ride!! Love yank vehicals. I have to stay jap though, all my mates are Jap, all the shows and trackdays etc are jap. Yeah there are different specs for the NSX all over the place. I have seen videos of stock NSX's racing m3 E46 and the nsx takes him. There is also a video nsx vs RS4 and the nsx wins. The power puts me off but then i watch videos and they are faster than allot of cars with tons more bhp. They are very restrictive in stock form, from a decent induction system and full exhaust system you can free up about 30bhp by the looks of things. 30bhp in a car like the nsx will probably be very noticable. I just dont want it to be slower than my brother RX7 or another friends 350z. I think it could be a good base car to work with, you can boot them upto 400bhp on a stock engine with a turbo and on a built engine the turbo kit goes upto 700bhp. So there is allot of scope there for power gains. They are not really anymore expensive or cheaper to tune than the Zed. I also have my bucket seats at home which i should save a fair amount of weight doing exhaust system, seats and removing the spare etc. Which may be just enough power to weight ratio for me to enjoy until i am in a position to turbo it. The engine swap in the Zed would be very cool, and very tempting as i have some rare parts on the shell which im not currently selling at present. Such a hard choice, I'm hopefully looking at a NSX friday, initially to look over but i might even put a deposit down. who knows.
  12. Thanks for all your comments and thoughts. Yeah really is a heart ache I have been debating for a while do i or don't i say who it is. I have been factual and everything is how it is. My main concern is if i don't say who it is then someone may take their car their and have the same troubles and i would feel terrible for not warning of my experiance with them. I was pulling a few parts about within my car the other day and found a plaque they had fitted in my car with their name on. They didn't even manage to do that right as it had fallen out. I was tempted to take a pic of the plaque and post it up. They make me sick, all the lies and all the false promises. I had already had a rough ride with one big failure after 1000 road mile built engine. This was my third attempt, they knew this and really put down the previous work and said how bad it was for a garage to do that to a customer and they do 100x worse. at least the previous garage was able to finish it. I think they need a reality check, I think they are no better mechanically than a average garage on the high street they have just blagged it and now is catching up with them. After my experiance there are people who have had the same experiance with them but just have not been vocal. They threatened me so no doubt they also got threats.
  13. Yeah i know. Such a hard one to make. The nsx will be a totally different car, the 300 can be a road legal track car i want as where the nsx will never be. But there again if i ever grow up i might not want that track car look and feel. There is allot you can buy for nsx if you look around but parts are harder to get hold of and not so availible.
  14. There are a couple of single turbo kits out there which will give you around 550bhp and the wheels. Which in a Nsx will be more than enough power because of their nature.
  15. Thought about a R34 lovely cars but car shows are floaded by them. Out of cursiousity have you got a link?
  16. ooo... 1600bhp? what car is that in? :D The NSX would take all my money up so... i would have a good 6 months before really starting to tune it, i would be able to enjoy it up until that point. My main concern with the NSX is it wont be fast enough. My brother has a RX7 slightly tuned, all my mates have tuned jap cars from turbo 4wd swifts all the way through to R34, supras, evo's, corvettes. I live not too far from a American air base and some of them have some pretty quick motors :D.
  17. Also reflecting on what Jeff said. I live for the Jap car scene, it is my life pretty much. The garage and car has had a huge impact on me and my family as my family are affected by my mood swings and behavour. They now have a car in the front of the drive which looks a complete unfinished mess. Not a nice look for any drive.
  18. Yeah exactly as Smithy said. I approached TDI to carry on the work but after seeing what a mess they have left my car in i think it really would be a nightmare for any garage to move on. That's the reason behind the engine swap because they would gut the car anyway. That is the only way i see me moving forward with my car now otherwise i have to get rid of it. Exactly as Jeff said, I think this is what has happened. I also feel they were not up to the job, we had many discussions things not fitting. One of which being a the intercooler funny how i could fit it myself first time round with no problems following a japanese manual in other words only the pictures were usable. They also get running on about how the turbos would not fit and that i need custom engine mounts, also funny that the other jaffa had no problem there, yes the engine mounts just needed grinding down for clearance. Also funny that they charged me so many hours to do the most simplest jobs. They are a expensive garage you would expect a garage charging their rates could turn around a job quicker than your average garage because you pay for their skills and expertise which so it seems they don't have any of.
  19. I rather do a engine swap now. my VG engine and all the problems with the garage have made me think twice about doing it. Need something totally special and unique. If i pick the right engine for the engine swap i could have something rather special.
  20. Thor have costed me far too much to spend yet even more money on my car. They have left me loads out of pocket. The only route for me is the engine swap if i was to stick with the 300.
  21. I have spoken to Boomin and he has kindly said i am welcome to have a look over his nsx. He also said get the nsx. Allot of nsx owners have had both nsx and a 300. they all say get the nsx but they would as they own one. The 300zx is more for myself, saying i finally got there in the end. I am ambitious and dont like being defeated as it really bugs me. If i did do the 300zx my plans for it would be mega awesome, would certainly be something special.
  22. I have been on the Honda nsx owners club. The option i would be going for is a targa manual. I want a NA1 which is the shaper with lift up lights. I would also like a 3.2 model which they only made them for a couple of years before the facelift came out. Think a 3.2 would be a good base model to work with as the Honda website reads they are stronger and better components and hopefully able to hold a turbo running lower boost until needing a rebuild. On the other note, I think the 300zx is a lovely looking car, my plans for it are a tasty kit, almost there how i want it look wise. It would be good to get it done for myself. I think the NSX is the logical route but i'm concerned if I don't do my 300 i will always look back on it and wonder what if... how would it actually been... I could get a nsx anytime, i could do the 300 then decide i want a nsx and i could sell it and get one then but if i just get a nsx then i would never known what the 300 would of been like. If i did do the 300 it would be running big bhp as i want something mega fast. The Nsx wont ever be the road legal track car i want as they are a supercar and i cant really get that look even if i wanted as there is nothing to remove and any room for a roll cage. Been thinking about the two options for over a month now and still not sure what way to go.
  23. The police are a complete waste of time. Consumer direct/trading standeds are fully aware. Going down with mates and kicking off, I don't want to lower myself to their standeds.
  24. Right... This is what it has come to. Do i go ahead with a engine swap? Or do i go with a Honda NSX? Engine swap: Had my 300 about 6 years now, i have some nice parts which i will be using, Bride Gias carbon seats, takata harnesses, Defi gauges, Quaife diff etc. etc. Because of this whole garage saga i dont want them to get the better of me and try to turn the car into something special and unique. I think for myself i need to get it done. There are several engine i could consider RB30, LS1, Nissan V8, V12 from a BMW 850I csi, i'm sure there are other engines i could consider. I think the 300zx will be faster than what ever i do to the NSX. I also like the idea of a road legal track car, compleltly gutted and striped with a full roll cage. Honda NSX: Maybe it is time to move on, start again from scratch. A Honda NSX is a great looking car. They only have 270bhp however they have supeior handling and a better power to weight ratio, torquie engine, build quality is all hand built. 0-60 figures are around 5-5.7sec depending on spec. In stock form i dont think they will be quicker enough however with a turbo kit you can get them upto 550bhp at the rear wheels. They are also one of the most rare japanese cars availible. I am stuck between the two options. Really don't know what to do. One day i'm like yeah lets get the 300 finally sorted up and running. Then another day im like it is time to move on and getting a NSX will be a real head turner and unique. What to do???
  25. Putting a stock engine into my Zed isnt really a option. Wouldnt be the same i was hoping for. The two options i am looking at is a engine swap into my zed or selling everything and getting a Honda NSX.
