  2. Just before i click the buy button on the tyres, Toyo T1 R's all round cool? They are a good price fronts 235/40/18 £105 each rears 295/35/18 £143 each
  3. haha, well... manifolds, turbos, engine few other misc pipes.
  4. just got to wait 12 weeks now for them to arrive, doh!!
  5. cool so 8's it is then. and the rest is coolio. Thanks guys.
  6. ok i know i've asked about wheels a few times but these ones are special order and allot of dosh. I'm ordering 10's for the rear. but the front i have the choice of either 9's or 8's i've been advised both sizes so confused. The guy is calling me back shortly to confirm order. i'm going for 295/35/18 on the rear and 235/40/18 on the front, hope that's correct also. just to clarify they are wider rear arches. Thanks, thakns, thanks.
  7. Is it getting certain parts coated in a heat resistant metral e.g. ceramic coated etc. It was suggested to do this but is it really worth it and make difference? Sounds pricey to me.
  8. I don't know where i live, help..... :D Ok Norwich according to the membership maps is the Midlands. But surely we are South East? i think there has been some confusion for us Norwich lot. i could of actually dreamt this all up, but i'm sure seeing i was from the midlands.
  9. I get ya, so the bottom bit is for the initial setup major adjustment then you can adjust the height via the spring for minor adjustment.
  10. That's a good idea, do you leave it in all the time or only when you need to use it? Also how did you get on fitting them as the bottom twisted and i had no idea what height to set that to then getting the other side the same omg no hope. I'll let the garage check it but i'm just curious as it's random.
  11. Well finally got them fitted, but i've come to the conclusion the garage may need to take them off and refit them because..... the bottom twists which alters the height, this isn't where you are meant to alter the height but on the spring adjustment. So how do you know what height the bottom twisty bit is meant to be? And how are you meant to get them all the shocks exactly the same height? Oh and the stiffness on the rears this is adjustable by the top of the shock so am i correct in saying if i want to alter this all the boot interior has to come out to get access to the top of the shock?
  12. Mario i bought a FG Marder It's a 26cc but guess what??? i can't get the bugger started. Brand new. i'm using 30mm of oil to 1 litre of unleaded. i got it started first time then it wouldn't start again. Removed the plug pulled the pull start with the buggy upside down, drew on the plug with a led pencil put it back in and no go. I don't have any luck with Rc cars.
  13. That's what my brother had as a first in black, that was the gangster mobil
  14. When i was 17 6 years ago i had a White Bmw 316i at the time was a pretty tasty car. Well until i tited it up.
  15. haha, i actually think it looks cool.
  16. are we going to get the lil ride pic back again under our names?
  17. wooosh you've lost me there :D I'll try some new fuel as my next stage, real shame as i think it will pull hard with a S-25 engine. the original was a .21.
  18. wow they do look mega, i'll see how i get on with mine with new fuel first.
  19. I cleaned the carb, nope the fuel is rather old so i better get some other stuff to try, thanks. Although it did start my Hot Bodies engine ok.
  20. They do look cool, do they get good traction being 2wd? Bit expensive really, i could wait a lil while rather than just buying another troublesome nitro. Are they easy to tune/start?
  21. It was quick but not Menace quick and i used it in long grass, sand, deep mud and it kept getting stuck. Have you seen the Hpi Baja 5b's. wow....! I don't really know much about RC cars, that's my problem. I only know of a few brands so i stick to the big names as i don't really know what i'm buying. I do like the idea of buggies and trucks as i think you can have more fun with them. I found my old Tamiya boomerang the other day, i even considered putting a new electric motor in that to make it upto todays standered as it seemed cheap but then by the time i had bought new batteries for it i thought i might aswell get a new one lol.
  22. I have tried several glow plugs, and ignitors. new fuel lines, checked the tank for leaks, checked the engine for leaks, and also the exhaust. However it is a Hpi S-25 engine with a Menace exhaust manifold and pipe which i bodged on, i had to make a new gasket with gel glue and elastic bands, sounds tacky i know but i has sealed. The spring is mega tight to help with the seal. All the needles are back to factory settings.
  23. I thought about a petrol 26cc but i can't find any spec on how fast they are, i bet they have a hell lot more torgue though. Are they strong?
  24. Right where to start??? First off i'm a complete novice. a while back i bought a Schumacher Menace 21, Brilliant lil buggy. Easy to start, reliable, very fast but.... bit feeble anyway i blow the engine up on that one. So... i was then after something stronger, bigger and better. So i bought a Hpi Savage, well after having the Menace the savage was slow! but hey i thought it strong and well built, when using it one day it got stuck in grass and i soon come to realise it was too gutless no torgue really slow just strong so i then bought the Hot Bodies big twin kit which is 2x .26 tuned engine, pipes, bigger wheels, bigger chassis, bigger twin fuel tank + other misc items. Anyway it was rubbish!! never started! when it did start died off quickly, far too heavy! Anyway gave it to Snetterton model shop to fine tune/run in got it back and still crap. So that just sat and collected dust. I then went on to fit the original engine from my savage (s-25) in my Menace, the engine is completly different so i had to bodge it in and it was a real mess but now i can't get that engine running. Keeping in mind i'm a novice i don't know how to set the engines up etc. etc. but i set back to factory settings checked to obvious and still no life. But...... There is a new one out which is the best of both worlds. The Hpi Savage X 4.6 apparently 60mph according to Hpi. I would like to buy it in the SS kit form so i can build it and see how it all works. Has anyone got a Savage X? would they recomend it for a novice? e.g. easy starter etc. and are they really that fast?
