  1. Well it was off the road for a few years. I got it back, had i on the road for about couple month then it went totally tits up (youch) At first i was just in a strop but as were getting closer to being fixed i'm getting well excited esecially as i'm changing the spec slightly and getting it remapped.
  2. I heard this and wasn't sure if it was true. If you have a Standalone or a custom map ecu the fuel economy would be better than a stock 300 even on highly modified 300's as you can have a low boost setting. I realise when you put your foot down though it completely goes out the window and would use loads loads more but if it was to be driven at a steady pace would it be better on fuel? I think there could be some truth in this for several reasons. 1. lower boost setting than stock. 2. custom map made percific for your excat car not just generic off the shelf. 3. More effiecient. Just a thought as with the fuel crisis getting your chip mapped for your car may be a penny saver and also give you more power.
  3. Is this a big job to switch subframes? I'm fitting a Quaife Diff with the NA ratios but..... will still have the pooie TT subframe. Hicas has been eliminated.
  4. Nope not a typo. Yeap Fixied  It's been at Thor for lil while now but they have been waiting on me and the parts, the parts are all there now so things can start get moving. wooo.....
  5. woops. now that's a big attachment.
  6. I might be selling my turbos along with super split down pipes and mid pipes if your interested. The car made 520bhp with more to go. The car was rather laggy but i believe that was down to other issues as it's now blown up. I think the mapping was wrong and the timing was off and i also had no VTC. If setup correctly you should get a better result than i did as there were so many other factors which could of caused the lag.
  7. na that can't be for real. It's been boy raced. it should be Ripspeed haha. So funny though.
  8. haha your not alone i always do it. I sit there thinking shall i shouldnt i, then i bottle it but i do the same thing the next day in the end i just give up and buy it haha

  10. Cool, seems a few would be up for it then. I'm also subject to date and when mine is also put back together. When is the latest in the year we could go? Cooler weather would be better for the cars but not too.... cold lol or rain season etc.
  11. It's based on a Elise aint it? Reminds me of Demolition Man.
  12. oh..... I thought i may of been. Just looked in your ride section, yeap it is yours. When is it going to be ready? When you next go keep your eyes open for my one. It's not very well at all.
  13. Z1 or Specialty Z do them.
  14. Cool, it was the subs also they had huge magnets, and i had a optima battery in the boot oh and didn't use the thinest as i wanted the boxes to be thick to get the sound from the subs. Have you got some pics of your install? Interested to see what it looks like finished.
  15. As above. Mine is currently there and saw another sitting there. Must be a Club car.
  16. Noway, i used to live in Long Stratton. Not far from Diss, 15min ish i guess. Still not that far away, your not too far from thetford then?? You should come to one of the meets, also Snetterton ;)
  17. My car is still being rebuilt but when it's done and i've put a few local miles on the clock who would be up for this? It would be good to get other clubs to join in, preferably Performance/sports cars. It would be so cool to get a big convoy, perhaps several convoy meeting places to convoy to Dover in packs. Then all meet up at Dover where we would port the Ferry. Would be also good to perhaps tie this in with another show/meet in europe to get more out of the weekend. I've always wanted to take my Zed around the Ring.
  18. I'm just saying don't go over the top. mine was so heavy, i think it was that which totalled my rear shocks. spoiled the handling also. although would help now for traction
  19. Put me down as a maybe, i should be all up n running by then.
  20. mine is also iffy but ever since i pulled the needles off. The needle does not keep up when you accelerate when it does catch up and you let off the power it sticks some times before dropping. Still not working and really annoying my solution was a Defi VSD but not ideal.
  21. My advice is don't go over the top. I used to have a bimmer before the Zed. It was a boy racer car really big boom boom stereo. When i bought the Zed i transfered the Stereo from the Bimmer to the Zed. It looked the part and was one the loudest cars out my mates, but why do we buy a Zed? because they are a performance car. With my stereo fitted the car was dog slow and very sluggish. I had 2x12" Hollywood Edge subs and a Directed 2500 rms amp. Very tasty sound system but was not suited for the type of car. Keep it simple. Perhaps a nice set of components up front, perhaps same in the rear. maybe a small sub and amp all built in. I'm currently looking at getting a Infinity baseLink as it's compact and light. Sub and amp all in one, ok it's not going to give the kick as standalone bigger subs but it's a good comprimise.
  22. perhaps we should do a club trip. i'm down when the Zed is ready. I'll be heading down hopefully with a few mates at some point may be worth tieing it all in together to get a big convoy and some variety in cars.
  23. Yeap. I wet my pants!!!
  24. Here you go. As i said the quality is outstanding, took some close ups to show the meterial. It's a set of 4 mats but you can buy just the fronts only. The passenger side does not have the heal rest or the ring at the bottom. Not fitted them yet but they are meant to be a perfect fit, touching wood at mo ha.
  25. derrrrr...... what a doofus i am. of course. glue from the inside. Doh. It's been one of those days. Going to look sweet.
