  1. Have you considered coilovers instead of shocks and springs?
  2. is it a quad turbo ;) baby turbos just inside the intercoolers.
  3. ooo.... i get ya. I guess it wouldn't actually cost that much to do this. Would be a nice addition to do.
  4. That's a interesting pic, surely the rear undertray is a bad design? as the air can get under neath it where the edge is? I would want a full under tray front to back over lapping them slightly to avoid the air getting in. What would those hose pipes be feeding air to?
  5. Thanks guys. I would like to do the underside at some point. Mainly as the plastic undertrays are fiddly and a pain and always brake. Might use some thin aluminium sheet. Also will protect everything in the engine bay from crap off the road.
  6. Do rear deffusers actually work? or are they purely a cosmetic thing? If they do work, what could you expect to be improved from fitting one? e.g. better acceleration as you would have better grip, better handling? etc. etc. Could this also mean i could remove more weight from the rear of the car as the deffuser will halp keeping the rear end stuck to the road.
  7. Should have more than enough power. We will have to see. It was last making 520bhp at the fly, this time round it should have more of a bite to it.
  8. They are just like my old ones, i'll be selling mine at some point also.
  9. It's only just started. We were waiting for the parts to arrive before they could start. The engine i supplied for rebuilding i think had been stripped but that's about it, i'm having other work done as well as just building the engine but Pete was talking about doing some of it next week.
  10. woooo..... i'm getting more n more excited to getting my car back now. Always wanted to crack the 200mph mark and i should be able to bust it easy according to the calculator. Any where we can legally test top speeds? just better hope my gearbox holds up haha. doubtful.
  11. arrr har... there is be. 50 thanks. 187 stock then, that's more like it.
  12. haha, 60 would be a bit of a balloon tyre, what is the correct stock profile on a JDM rim? But.... that's good i made that bulls up as that means the calculator works so to match my new spec would mean i have a 224mph beast wooo........
  13. I've always wanted to take my Zed down the strip. But Honestly though?? everytime i went to pod and could of ran i bottled it, mates expecting too much and if i got a bad launch or anything i would never hear the end of it. When it is built this time round i will take it to a rwb day at pod, so i can get a few runs in, get used to launching down pod but without all that pressure from a big show day.
  14. So that calculator either dont work or the figures i input were wrong as i set the rpm at 7000 and got 200mph
  15. good idea, i got a flat battery and it was a pain in the arse to jump start.
  16. That can't be right, a stock TT can't hit 200mph, can it?
  17. http://www.240edge.com/performance/top-speed-calc.html Is this actually accurate? I put in the following for a stock TT. revs max 7000 tyre width 225 profile 60 rim 16 final transmision gear 0.752 diff ratio 3.69 And when calculated i got 200mph. So i then tweaked for the spec of my Zed and wet my pants, sexy wee.... Top Speed = 224mph
  18. Doh, wish i knew that before shelling out for mine, major expensive. especially with duties.
  19. Think i might of kept my cam belt, will have a look and take a pic over the weekend. It had not done any miles only ran in the garage while setting up etc. so was pretty much brand new when the tensoiner snapped. but this is one extreme to another.
  20. i think they are poop. For the size of the engine they are slow.
  21. ooo.... so there is some truth in it. Interesting that. Everyone buy new chips :D
  22. Don't want to scare you but i had a Tensioner bully snap on me before. If it concerns you would be worth checking it out for piece of mind.
  23. Oh i get ya. I think the Quaife diff is lighter than a stock TT one so i should save some then.
