Harneses in a 2+2
oh right so bascially you dont need to join the two points back up just connect them both to the same mount point. Has anyone fitted these to stock seats? as i cant have aftermarket seats with stock belts but i could run harness with stock seats perhaps. I will do it all at some point but tackle one at a time as and when i can afford to.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
yeah that the thing being too light at the rear. the battery has been relocated to the boot. what else could i relocate to the rear? And what have you done to loose the 70kg up front?

Harneses in a 2+2
I was looking at Takata harnesses but.. they have two bits which come out the back of the seats and stay as two instead of joining back as one. How would this work?

Harneses in a 2+2
ouch i wouldnt want that. I will give Jimmys a try. How about taking it off the rear strut brace maybe? I would imagine mine is the same height as Jimmys This is a picture of my brace where it attaches to the suspension. maybe take is off that hole visible in the pic. The one above the welded seem on the left.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
Can you suggest some more prefered places for weight loss please. I an waiting to get front seats, would love some Bride Gias seats but they are very expensive and at this time rather concentrate on other weaknesses

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
ha, yeap ac has to stay, i get travel sickness. i keep toying with the idea of carpets and just have mats so your feet dont slip about. yeah, thats my main concern is the grip, i did fit 275s and stiffer suspension and it still span in some gears but i think this was down to a bad setup as there were allot of lag on my turbos and when they did kick in it all come at once, with a more gradual power curve im hoping that it wont spin as much. But since then i have also fitted a new atb style diff, the 295s and race logic traction control. How was the handling after removing weight?

Hi, new to forum, odd question
Im not sure a bike will fit purely down to the depth of the boot. I remember my boot would close with my remote control car in the back.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
To show i am pretty serious about this i have gone to the extent for bugying 5Zigen light weight lug nuts and influenced which wheels i went for etc.

Harneses in a 2+2
Think i know where you mean. I have a carbing rear strut brace at home and was thinking of attaching them to that but that would mean a no no to rear passengers. I will check these places thanks. Anyone else any ideas? Pics would be great so i could see for rear passenger room and for fitment.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
Right... I am considering gutting the interior to save weight. If mine was a 2 seater the interior would be long gone. However as mine is a 2+2 on occasions it is nice to take people out in the back but... when i get my car back from the garage it might be a tad lower than it was before and also running 18" rims. 295's on the rear which may rub with people in the rear. I am expecting mixed comments here like dont do it will look silly, im not too bothered about the look of the interior as it will be serving a purpose. Besides windows are tinted and cant really see in. I know i can loose allot of weight by gutting the interior but my main concern is most of the interior will come from behind the front seats e.g. rear seats and all trims and carpets etc. The worse thing i can do is make the rear end too light and loose all my grip and make the handling suck. I could go to a level of removing door cards and all carpets and trims from centre console etc. but not too sure how far to take it. I will also be looking at light weight front seats in the future. mmm... what to do? any comments and thoughts? Please purely look at this from a performance perspective and not for looks.

Harneses in a 2+2
How many people are running seat belt harnses in a 2+2? How have you done it? Are you still able to get people in the back seats? Was it worth it? and why?

volks wheels
how rude.... :p Come on guys, give him a break. i better break the trend, they are ok :nana2: Think they would look better if you had them refurbed as you can see the white spots. Volks are sort after rims and no halfrauds chav rims, good effort my man.

Engine work
Now your asking :D Right.. I had my engine rebuilt about a year ago, the finish to the heads wasnt brilliant and when the metal headgaskets were fitted it didnt perform a perfect seal. because they are metal there is no give in them as where the standared gaskets would of be fine with the finish of my heads and block as when bolted up the gaskget would squeeze and seal. One of the reasons my engine failured was done to a bad seal e.g. the surface on the block and heads wasnt good enough. So i think the finish on both the heads and block need to be as smooth as a babys bum when using a metal head gaskget. so think the block would need to be skimmed. Maybe your block has a clean smooth finish to it? I think my heads, lower plenum and upper plenum were all ported. also exhaust outlet on the block. im not too sure how much its costs as a seperate item. the place doing the call is doing the lot until the final bill comes through im not sure on how much each job cost.

Japfest 2009
This is the score. As most people knows i was building a big hp engine well anyway took a rediculous amount of time over a year and got it back, 3 months later the engine fails big time. Instead of cutting my losses decided to get it done again but took it else where, some where which i know will do a great job but its been there for nearly a year now but we are hoping it will be done by the end of April. If i knew it would be ready in time i would say yes and buy the tickets in advance to get a spot on the paddock but if the car isnt ready i wouldnt want to go as i would be in a mood looking at all the nice zeds knowing mine is in the garage. I really am hoping it will be done in time. the billing show is the same situation, i want to go but depending if my car is done which i wont know until nearer the time. you might as well say my car has been off the road for over two years as the two month it was on the road is a very short time. i have missed all show in that time.
