  1. Nice find.... And a reasonable price too; great Zed for someone - if is as good underneath as it looks on top:thumbup:
  2. Yup - definitely...
  3. LOL - so am I.... I have lost count of the times, we have parked up, got out of the car to wander off to where we intended to go; only to have Julia drag me away from staring back at the Zed..... Not to mention the number of times, we have arrived at our destination too early; just so that I can find the perfect parking space. Not just for me to stand back and admire the Zed either - but also to ensure that no dopey twonk in a people carrier will park so close, that their rancid offspring can fling open their door into my Zed....!!!
  4. No idea Steve - Jimmer may know someone. That front sill is one large section though; so you might be better of purchasing the OEM item - at least you know it's going to fit.
  5. Yup - I will be attending.... With Zed and Julia... ……Duly posted in the event thread!
  6. Nice one JP.... ….And following Paul's post yesterday, I thought I'd confirm for sure....! Zed show vs Merc show - no contest; we win every time....
  7. Sorry to hear that mate - I was looking forward to catching up again.... It's been a while:sad:
  8. It was just as predicted, in all honesty! Still it made me chuckle how the left-wing press reported that the "remainers" had actually won - by adding together the votes of Labour, Lib-Dem, SNP, Plaid Cymru, The Greens - and pretty much every one else; vs those for the Brexit Party plus the Conservatives... Really?? I suspect that circa 50% of Labour and 50% of Conservative voters would have been split between leaving and remaining in the EU..... Gotta love The Guardian and their little idiosyncrasies…
  9. Yup...…. ….And yup - I have to admit to standing and admiring, for many minutes, before finally walking off....
  10. As did I - front & rear. Front sills are Nissan OEM. Not cheap - especially when you add VAT and delivery - but fit is 100% Mike Feeney - AKA MJP; and one of our foremost traders could no doubt also source the OEM front sills too... Definitely worth asking him first.
  11. Nice pics - thanks for sharing mate:thumbup:
  12. All good points - and as Gary and Andrew have said, this will have to be a major point of discussion at the AGM in July... …..On another note, was the thread closed for any reason...? I have reopened it, just in case it was an admin error...
  13. I have to agree....:biggrin::wink:
  14. I agree.... As much as the '89 spec lights went very well with the yellow, the '99 specs are indeed so much better. Nice work Gary:cool:
  15. Sad but true Russ - Career politicians, all of them. Long gone are the days, when people went into politics later in life, to serve the nation.... ….And in other news, Vince Cable has resigned as leader of the Lib Dems. I know, I hardly noticed either...
  16. Yup - sad, but in all honesty, she had no choice. I believe she was genuine, in her apparent pride in serving the country; and she stepped up to the mark in 2016 when no-one else was up to the job. Even though she was on a hiding to nothing. The PM has done the right thing; and, hopefully, the government will see sense select someone who will keep Corbyn out, before it's too late. Whether or not Brexit will be disastrous for Britain remains to be seen - and I am still not sold on the predictions of doom and gloom if we leave the EU.... But Corbyn as PM and McDonnell as Chancellor, not to mention that useless bint Abbot as Home secretary?? We'd all be doomed for sure - might as well move to a gulag in Siberia:mad:
  17. Good to see you're still kicking around Phil - and that you still have The Collector's Zed....
  18. ...Still, politics remains that great divider - and Brexit is certainly the greatest divider since 1642-1651... ...But on the subject, who voted today - no need to say how, that's your business - but who put a proper X in a box and voted properly? I did, I still feel it's my democratic duty; despite how disillusioned I may have become. Seems I wasn't alone in the village either... I thought I'd pop in on the way to work, only to see a bloody long queue at 7.01 this morning. Bugger that, I thought, and drove straight past the polling station. So I dropped in on the way home instead:wink:
  19. Dead right Gaz... The biggest let-down was Cameron. Sure, he promised the referendum in his 2015 manifesto - and indeed gave it to us.... Sadly, he staked his political career on us all voting remain. Instead, he should have remained impartial as Prime Minister - and then cleared up the shit following the result, whatever that may have been. Instead he promoted "remain" and then had a hissy fit and resigned when it didn't go his way - leaving the UK in a mess. That's why he is the second ex-PM after Blair who should not receive a knighthood..... I know he is actually the third who hasn't - Gordon Brown has (thus far) not been knighted either - but that's probably down to being Blair's Chancellor and sending the economy floating down the river, before he got to be PM.
  20. I haven't read any version of the WA Andrew; but I'm not wrong in that Theresa May voted remain; and I'm certainly not wrong in that the people voted for Brexit in 2016. And supposedly, she has tried to deliver Brexit in one form or another..... ...But then I also believe, that half of what you read is bull, and the other half is shit...
  21. I agree - sadly most of the politicians from all parties are just self-serving and delusional. And with today's Millennial generation, influenced by social media, it will only get worse.... Theresa May has done the best she could, trying to deliver Brexit - putting her own personal "remain" leaning views aside, to do what [we] voted for in 2016. Shame the rest of Parliament behaved like children and denied the will of the electorate. Yes, I know the "Leave" campaign won by a small majority - but isn't that democracy? A vote is cast, the results are counted; and whatever gets more votes, wins...?? Well that was what I learned whilst growing up!! Hey ho... But now that he has bided his time; made way for David Cameron's successor to finally fail in the role, I hope Boris gets the job. He maybe regarded as a clown by some; but Boris is a lot cleverer than he makes out...… …...And let's be honest, as a capitalist country, in a free market economy, among the world's leading nations; we simply cannot afford to see Comrade Corbyn in No.10. That man is the real clown and a threat to us as a nation - he'll drag us back to the dark ages once more and leave the UK defenceless in the world. If Boris is our only hope of keeping Corbyn out of Government, so be it...
  22. Hi Colm - nice one mate; great to have you back and thank you for your support!!
