chip shop
Changing the subject slightly, Greg. If your locksmith business was in Bow, east London you could call it "Bow Locks!!" Or back on a fishy subject, if anyone owns a fishing shop what better name could there be than "Test Tackles" Richard

What is faster?
This is it really ;) ..... According to WhatCar and AutoCar tests comparing all 3 together (UK stock motors that is) the Supra is quicker. In UK spec form it should be at 326bhp and 100kgs lighter than a ZX. The 3000gt suffers worse from turbo lag and pre 2000 cars (later ones supposedly had 320bhp) with 281bhp and a lardy 1800kg take over 16s to reach 100 compared to 14.5 in the ZX (but only 12.5 in a Supra :o ) 0-60 in them is Supra 4.9, ZX 5.4 and 3000gt 5.8 - so close it is down to driver ability. The ZX is way quicker in the mid-range than a GT but not quite as quick as a Soop. ZX is the best looking though and when a Soop still costs considerably more, the ZX is better value too However the true enthusiast prefers the ZX as the best driver's car - read Evo mag opinion. At the end of the day, drive all 3 and make your own choice. Richard :D

Where can I get hold of original Nissan paint?
You can also take the paint code to Halfords - they can mix any colour too providing it's on their computer. Richard

Who should you vote for?
Mine came out as I expected - especially after finding out I'm "fairly right wing" on the thread posted earlier. So let's close our borders, lock up the homeless and brutalise criminals  Richard

Over £60 FFS!!!!!!
Well, I've just been out to the local petrol station to refil the ZX's tank.... .....Cost me £61.46  I think the most it's cost me until now was around £55 :( I got a shock when it first broke the £50 barrier but this is rediculous  Richard

How ling will they last?????
They have survived so far....... .....only because the ZX is tucked away in my garage at night  I can just sense the pikeys watching and waiting, thinking......."He's gotta come out sometime!!"........ :smash: Richard

Chris moyles (whatever his name is)
The only decent radio DJs now are Pete & Geoff of Virgin Breakfast  They absolutely crack me up in the mornings  Plus you get decent music on Virgin too - I've had to buy a DAB radio for my office so I don't have to listen in MW anymore Richard :hyper:

How ling will they last?????
Just bought a nice set of Z valve caps. How long do you reckon they'll be on my wheels until some light fingered thieving chav scum has them away? Richard

Do you swing to the left or the right?
Me too - I liked the bit about 100% of green party voters being to the left of my opinion...... ......now to fill the ZX with Shell's finest and take a drive at a steady 150mph  That'll piss them off the tree hugging :xxx: Richard

Finding a good one?
Welcome to the forum :hyper: You're right about the 95% being dogs - most new imports now are rubbish as the good ones were brought over here years ago... 1994/5 was the last year of the UK cars and there are one or two good ones for sale but most owners of these hang on to them. Newer cars will be imports as they were still sold new in Japan until 2000, although the post 1997 cars are pretty rare. Best bet is to buy off a forum member here as it will have been properly looked after. As for running costs, they aren't too bad considering their performance potential and Nissan reliability but compared to ordinary cars they will cost more. The ZX has a healthy appetite for petrol and tyres, otherwise general costs are reasonable unless something does go wrong.... Good hunting Richard :D

DIY Divorce
I reckon it's still cheaper, more convenient and painless to have her shot..... ....I've told Julia that's what to expect if she gets any ideas about divorce - she's not getting her hands on any of my cash, cars house etc......... Good luck fella(s) Richard

Someone owes me some money
Sorry to hear this mate - fekking scum  I had a similar problem a few years back. A so-called mate needed an accountant but didn't want to pay the price of a local firm so I did his accounts and tax returns for a fraction of the cost to help him out. He was going through a divorce, custody battle etc. I gave him my bill but the b@stard didn't pay it  I kind of knew he took cash without ringing it in the till so you'd think he would have known better as I could easily report him to the Inland Revenue and Custome & Excise etc....... ........so I did annonymously. They took him to the cleaners and he lost his business and house. Justice in the end as he had ripped off many others too apparently  Good luck mate, hope you get your money. Richard

Def Leopard Best Rock Band In The World
Have to second this selection..... .....plus Iron Maiden (Edward the Great album never seems to leave the Z these days  ) and Nickelback  Richard

ABS: Food for thought
I'd have to disagree there, John. The best solution IMO would be to reprogram the ABS as Legrath suggested. ABS is an essential safety addition to any car, especially one with the capabilities of the ZX as the "water barrel" scenario demonstrates. Top-notch article though - it fully explains things for me. Richard :hyper:

wheels and tyres
I agree, 7.5 wide are ok for fronts as a minimum - go 8 wide on the fronts and 9 or 10 on the rears. Not only would most aftermarket 7.5 wide wheels be thin, they would probably not clear the brakes either - the ZX has big calipers. Richard

NZR electric shavers
Ditto. I only wet-shave with a Mach3 Turbo. And never every day either, using a decent moisturiser afterwards stops the irritation and Julia gets me this stuff called "Tend Skin" which is a liquid that stops the ingrowing hairs and razor bumps too. Can't beat a decent cut-throat shave though  Back in the early 90s my then GF and I were holidaying in Turkey. I had a tendency to wear designer stubble back then so she coaxed me into this dodgy barbers for a cut-throat shave by a mad Turkish barber. This guy was sooooo quick I just sat there rigid in the chair incase he killed me!! Got my revenge though, once he finished I slipped him a few million Lire to shave her legs  Richard :smw:

Save Castle Coombe
Me too, 3886!! Honestly it is a nice village but the floods of tourists every weekend in the summer creates much more noise and disruption than a couple of race meetings a year. Fekking whingers  Richard
