Grey NA in Aylesbury
Hi all, I took my Z to work today and whilst shopping in Homebase at Lunchtime I parked 2 spaces from a grey K reg 300zx NA in the carpark...... ......anyone here? Richard:)

decisions decisions
I'd pick the X5 as well....... ......but as you have the choice, why not all 3. Obviously not at the same time though;) Richard:D

VERY annoyed!
I was thinking the same thing........... .......I would hassle the dealer for payment of your train fares as well though - after all you agreed a price and paid a deposit; thus entered into a contract to buy the car. Sue enough, had you found a better Z elsewhere, the dealer would not refund your deposit. Get your money back and whatever else you can, then look elsewhere. As Si says above, there are a couple of nice ones for sale on here at the mo. What's your budget? Richard:)

Uk heatwave
I have to agree - anyways I thought the Met Office always maintain they cannot predict the weather more than 5 days hence....... .........Heaven know they have trouble getting the weather for the next 5 minutes right:headvswal Richard:rofl:

Sat Nav speed reading....
The sat nav should be as close to your real speed as you can get. If it's different to your speedo, then as everyone has said, your speedo is wrong. It is normal for the speedo to read faster than you are actually travelling. On my ZX the speedo is between 3 and 7 mph out depending on how fast I'm driving. Between 70 and 100 is furthest out; but over 100 (not on the public roads of course) it seems to regain some accuracy. On my SLK the speedo is never more than 3 mph out - even at 155 mph (autobahn of course). On the Rav-4 it is almost 10% out once over 70 mph - ie at true 80 mph the speedo reads 87. There you have it - most car speedos over-read. So when a spotty chav in the pub says his Saxo does 130 mph, chances are he's not actually been over 110;) Richard:smw:

Happy Birthday to my Daily Drive
Happy birthday Monsieur Renault;) I'm pleased you posted this actually - I have recently been replacing my (company's) engineers' vans with Kangoos so I'm pleased to hear they don't fall apart after 1000 miles:D But for really covering the miles, I recently sold the surveyor's Volvo S40 2.0TDi. It was barely 2 years old (we bought it new) and had done about 140k miles!!! Best of all, it was only on its 2nd set of tyres and brake pads:bow: Richard

R.I.P Harry Patch
The world would not have been the same were it not for the brave and patriotic heros like Harry, the other two chaps who passed away earlier this year and the many many more who lost their lives back in WWI and later WWII. I think it's amazing that these 3 fellas were still around well into their hundreds after everything they went through to secure the future for our generation. I for one am grateful. RIP Harry et al:cry: Richard

Farewell to Z Ownership
Sorry to see it going to the scrap yard there Dave - farewell to a once nice Z IMO:cry: I had to remove the "potential project" bit though mate -we're pretty hot on forum rules nowadays. Anyway, it seems a few people are already circling round looking for parts to scavenge so it may be worth your while to subscribe again and break it. I reckon you'll have no problem making some decent cash on a few desirable bits. Richard:cool:

Changing isp's can I keep old email
I think so - but you may have to log into the Tiscali home page to review you e-mails. I'm sure you must be able to set your outlook explorer to default to the old Tiscali address and "POP Tiacali" settings. One of the IT chappies here will confirm that of course......;) Richard:)

New car 'list price' question.
"Base" or "basic" price is the price of just the car without any options.... .....However "list" price refers to the manufacturer's RRP of the car as sold (ie including all the options OTR); but before any extra dealer discount. Each optional extra also has a "list price" so the term simply means as per the manufacturer's price list! If you go on to any manufacturer's website and build your new car, the car plus each optional extra is priced as you go - that is the list price. You then go into the dealership and haggle. Either that or the dealer has one already on the forecourt "At £xxx below list price......" To avoid confusion, company car tax is charged in the car's "list price" which includes all added options OTR. Richard:cool:

Yes - that's the one..... Brilliant:D

toyota supra
I had 2 before getting my ZX. They are still decent cars if you find a good one. From what I remember the autos were better than the manuals. Plus the engines are quite tough (providing they are not shagged). Normal mods like filter, exhaust etc will give a little improvement. Look up Fensport (I assume they are still around) as they were respected Toyota tuning specialists and a great source for parts at reasonable prices. The engine's weak spot was the head gasket. They all eventually blow because the bolts were never properly torqued down at the factory. The cure is to tighten the bolts by a few extra PSi; although it may be too late. If (when) it blows just make sure the garage that replaces the HG tightens the new bolts more than the standard settings suggest. HTH Richard:cool:

Murder & Manslaughter figures down....
Just BBC bias - their sorry attempt at trying to restore their beloved Labour Government's reputation; perhaps........:xxx: Either that or the BBC are (once again:slap:) using the Guardian as their number one source for up to the minute news stories LOL - reminds me of the Harry Enfield sketch with the 2 gay Dutch policemen:rofl: Richard:wack:

leather dash on ebay
I'd also spotted that - both from the Gloucester area........... ........Now that makes 3 of us mods watching, I think it may be pertinent to mention that unsubscribed members are not permitted to sell on here; either directly or via the "back door.";) Richard:)
