Really Pissedoff
Very sorry to hear that mate:thumbdown: I hope you get it sorted as that's one fine ZX you have. And with any luck someone will catch the little scrote the next time he tried to nick a car; and set about him with a blow-torch and a pair of pliers..... Richard:cursing:

Which windscreen wiper do you have? anything special?
I bought a pair like this for Julia's Rav; since I had problems with water freezing solid on the sprung metal joints of the traditional wipers. It was a real PITA as the original blade would end up stuck in a crescent shape and this skip over the screen in very cold weather!! As they were quite cheep I bought a full set for my ZX as well - although I haven't fitted them yet. And yes, I agree with Graham about the mounting point looking a bit bulky...... Richard:cool2:

Which venue ??
As a southerner, from the 2 you mention, I have only been to the O2 and, I have to say, it's a damn good venue for any concert!! I saw Jeff Wayne's "War of The Worlds" there back in December 2008 BTW - and pretty awesome it was too!! Richard:cool2:

For those not entirely loyal to the zed.
Not me; I'm keeping it. And when I did chose to sell up, I bought another one..... ......But then 6 years ago I relegated the (original) ZX to a weekend toy and bought a new daily driver!! Richard:thumbup1:

Oldie Rant !!
Very true Alan..... ......I loved growing up in the 70s and 80s. In fact the 1970s certainly spawned the last "common sense" generation - the one before all the health and safety red tape came in to nanny us snd stop us taking risks. Youngsters nowadays are wrapped in too much cotton wool; and they are supposed to be the country's future:beta1: But like Jane says; I think I also prefer living in the present - however with the benefit of the experience I gained in the past. Today's generation will sadly never experience real life as they are too busy in virtual reality. Richard:cool2:

Anyone doing anything exciting new year's eve?
We're heading off to Cornwall on Thursday; our hotel is laying on a 7 course dinner for New Year's Eve. So I guess we'll just enjoy that; washed down with a glass or three of something cold and fizzy!! We're staying a few days into next week too, as I don't have to be back at work until 6th. Woohoo:rockon: Richard:thumbup1:

Im in again!!
Great news Pete - and thanks for your continued support! I've popped a request in the committee forum for your name to be changed to the right colour for your trader's status mate. Richard:chef:

i had to share this
LOL - I remember you posting that up some time back Brian..... .....and I see you're still alive to do it again mate!! Excellent find there; and in my best "Mr Cholmondley-Warner" voice, remember...... ....."Women. Know your place!!"................ Richard:yes::tt2::innocent:

cruise control
Yup! Switch it on via the switch on the r/h instrument pod. Then when you reach your desired speed (using accelerator as normal) press the "set coast" button on the steering wheel. To switch off, either use the on/off switch on the instrument pod; or just press the brake. If you press the brake, you can resume the previous set speed by pressing "resume" on the steering wheel. Titanium Key
As above - rare as hen's teeth to get unused blanks! Although I guess you could ask Mike at MJP if Nissan still supply them. Otherwise the replacement lock kit is the way to go. That E-bay one is good value - alternatively ask JeffTT if he has any from his breakers. Richard:thumbup1:

changing wheels
LOL..... ......but yes, that's just like the one I have! And regarding the nut sizes, often aftermarket wheels use nuts that are a different size to the stock ones. Consequently I keep a 19mm (or maybe 17mm - I can't remember which) slim socket on the wrench! Richard:thumbup1:

Crash!
Sorry to hear that mate - but glad no-one was hurt. I hope you can get the car sorted easily and with minimum fuss. And I'm as confused as Silverbullet - he didn't say he was on the phone mate.....? Richard:flowers:

VERY pissed off
Will do dan - although the ZX is most likely staying at home this time! Richard:cowboy:

changing wheels
Yes - they have a space saver wheel as there's no room for a full size one! And the stock wheel-brace is also a bit pathetic as you cannot get enough leverage; especially if a tyre-monkey has used a compressed air gun to tighten the nuts. Best bet is to buy one of those telescopic-handle wheel wrenches from Halfords. Then loosen the nuts off and re-tighten them to the correct torque by hand. Richard:cool2:

first go for 3 weeks
I haven't driven mine for about 3 weeks either - damn snow - and I have definitely missed it. I'm off to Cornwall this week but, as the ZX is nice and clean and shiney at the moment, I'll probably leave it at home this time. So that's a bit longer without driving it...... Richard:arabia:

Top Gear Specials tonight.
Sweeeeet - I love that car!! Great pics Paul.... Richard:thumbup1:

Happy Birthday JASON FARROW
HAppy birthday JAson - have a great day buddy! Richard:santa:

wing indicators
In a simple word, yes you do..... ......but to be more exact; you have to be able to see the indicators flashing from the side of the car. So if your front ones wrap around and can be seen from the side, you'd possibly get away without repeaters. Depends on the MOT inspector, I guess. Richard:thumbup1:

Locked out of me bleedin' car!
Bloody cheek!! Glad you're sorted though - and thanks for re-subbing Rob! Richard:rockon:
