New income tax?
It's the government putting the onus of providing pensions onto employers, rather than the government themselves (or in reality, the tax payer). Basically large companies must offer a form of defined contribution pension scheme to all employees; whereby the employer must pay into an approved pension scheme on behalf of their employees - but on condition that the employee also contributes. This is being rolled out to smaller companies over the next 3 years or so (I believe). Employees have the right to opt out - and if they do not want to contribute themselves then I believe they must; since it is unreasonable to expect your employer to pay in if you have no intention of doing so yourself! The rest is as Misty says above - it's not an additional tax; but the opportunity to start your own personal pension fund (albeit one administered by your employer, rather like the current "stakeholder" scheme that has been with us for 8 or so years now); and have your employer make contributions on your behalf. Do remember, however, that where employers are forced to pay into staff pension schemes; there is nothing in law that says they cannot do this as part of a future salary review! And (speaking as a company finance director) companies do not like being forced to increase their overheads; so if an employer has to contribute (say) 4% of your gross pay into a pension scheme, then be aware that they might consider that extra 4% to be your pay rise for the next year or two!! how accurate is the restricter
Most car's speedometers over-read to be honest mate; even new and (supposedly) high quality cars.... ...although the deviation is perhaps not as much as it was in the "old" days! The question is, how far out is your speedo compared to your GPS - altering the wheel/tyre sizes also has an effect too. And how do you know that your car is actually still limited to 180km/h? I would guess that with 1990's technology, the car will never know how fast it is trully travelling but would have to base it on signals received from the speed (and possibly ABS) sensors. Supposedly the UK spec was limited to 155mph - and in What-Car/Autocar tests back in the day, the 300zx TT did achieve a genuine 156mph top end. I also know that on my UK spec car, running on 265/35/18 rear tyres, the speedo is not far from the read-out on my sat nav at most speeds. At 70, the readings are identical; on a track, at 100 there is barely 2-3mph in it - although at varying speeds in between 70-100 it has been as much as 7mph out; but at 120 it's once again very close.... Like I said, on a track and not the public road... Richard:cool3:

Front speaker housing
^^^ Sounds like a good idea to me..... And a lot less hassle, if you stick with the 6x9 speakers!

Front speaker housing
The stock speakers are not a common size at 6 inches (just under 155mm) in diameter - and nowadays the most common aftermarket replacements are 6.5 inches. I guess that's why yours have been butchered mate..... ....I hunted down a set of 6 inchers myself - they bolted straight into the metal housings in the door itself. But from memory, it did not look like the housings would have come off, so I'm not sure you can just get a pair. Your best bet might be the Bose housings Andy is selling - provided you can fix them to the door frame! Richard:cool3:

new alloys
I like those too Sandy....... .....if there was one thing I'd change on your new Z it would be the wheels. There's nothing wrong with the ones on it already - but like Gaz says, I prefer a nice deep dish on the 300zx..... Go for it!! Richard:cool3:
