  1. That yellow Mercury was purchased from a UK ford dealer, brand new, in the 1970s.... Again most likely related to the US are base personnel.
  2. Plenty of American metal - most probably related to the number of former US air bases in East Anglia!
  3. Still never found out what the mini-monster-truck-thing was....!
  4. I haven't seen a Cortina Crusader (the last version of the Cortina) since the 80s....!!!
  5. Lovely blue cossie - because blue is the fastest colour.... 😄
  6. An original AC - and an interesting kit car, which had us all guessing...... It looked Jaguar XK powered, but the extra 3 carbs on the supercharger????
  7. Some Rover-related cousins - that maroon an grey P4 was slightly tweaked 😉
  8. .....And alongside a nice twin-turbo'd XR4x4, there were a couple of (proper) Lotus Carltons.
  9. Nice bit of airbrushing - that's Suzi Quatro, for those old enough to remember 😉
  10. Modern roadsters lined up with old school luxury Fords - that Granny took me back to my teenage years 😄
  11. .....We got in at 8.30 - which was a good call, considering what other exhibitors told me about the queues from the A140 later that morning.... Not only that, but our stand was right next to the main route into the display area, so we got to see all the other cars arriving 🙂
  12. This was another great show - and one which I hope we get invited to again next year..... Stonham Barns was the ideal venue for a car show, as in addition to a variety of classic cars on display, there was also a fun fair and a bird of prey centre on site to visit as well. Something for everyone! However, the it was nonetheless a car show, so here are a few pics from the day 😉
  13. Good choice Steve....! I am surprised to hear the C and CLA use Renault gearboxes though - I knew some Mercs (A-classes and some of the smaller diesel engined cars) used Renault engines, but I always thought the C-class and above used the Merc 9G-Tronic gearbox.... 😮
  14. Really good thanks Craig - and yes, the sun shone for us too......! We'll have to do this one again next year, some great cars on display and plenty of interest for everyone, aside from the cars 😉
  15. Nice pic Joel..... It was a really good show - I'll get my photos up very soon 😉
  16. Many happy returns Arthur - have a great day!!
  17. And two weeks later, still no sign of my ride-height sensor..... 😞 So I'm still in the 530e.......
