fog bulbs
The question is, what do you actually want your front fog lamps to do.......? If you wish them to function effectively in bad weather, then do not even think of going HID! Bright white light will just be reflected off the fog and back into your face - whereas the more traditional yellow should shine properly through rain/drizzle/mist/fog as they are supposed to do.... ...However if you want them to supplement your driving lights, then go for the conversion. There is a very good reason that the likes of Osram give their so called "all weather" bulbs a yellowish hue - I know what I would go with... Richard:cool:

none then two come along!!!!
Agreed.... ....And for me, it would be the red one on first appearances.... The leather trim puts it way out in front, assuming it is in good condition...

Grounded :-(
Whilst I am not squeamish, I do have OCD when it comes to the appearance of my hands - and hate even the slightest cut spoiling their appearance.... So I'd hate that!! But I wish you all the best for it swiftly healing matey...:flowers: Richard:clover:

cam belt part number
Not sure mate - but unless it's a genuine Nissan kit, I'd steer well clear of Ebay for such a crucial product and buy from Mike at MJP.... NA part is the same as the TT BTW..... Richard:cool:

replacement rear arch
Surely for the small amount of metal needed for the arch surround, a good body shop could cut out the rot; then fabricate and weld in a new section of metal...... Give Boldy or Manta v8 at Bodymech a call to see what they can do for you! Richard:cool:

Friday Night YouTube
I thought I'd kick off tonight..... I was driving home from work today, in the sunshine, roof down, listening to "The Best of Rainbow!" So in honour of Ronnie James providing the vocals, here he is performing an old song from his Rainbow days.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czybZ-J_X9g Richard:punk:

Daytime Running Lights
Yup.... I can see the safety aspect of DRLs - it does make sense - but I am not keen on the LED additions to new cars either.... Simple, LED bulbs inserted into the sidelights; and permanently on whilst driving (like old Volvos in the 70s and 80s) would do the job.... ...And just like Si, I usually drive with headlamps on, on the motorway (especially in the Merc, given it's colour) so that people can see me earlier at whatever speed I might be travelling. However that still does not stop Mr Beige-Polyester from pulling out in front of me in his bloody people carrier at 72mph; no matter what speed I might be approaching at.....:nono: Richard:wink:
