  1. ........Oh, and before anyone spots it, yes, I did realise the LH "dummy" rear fog lamp was not replaced straight.... 😉 It had been installed with the back section upside down - although on removal, I found it had been damaged in the accident, so carefully taped it together and replaced it the right way up. I have since ordered a replacement from Ebay though. I had to buy them as a pair, so I may try to install another working fog light on the LH side, to balance it up.
  2. After a return to the paint shop last week - and as the weather was kind yesterday - I set about removing any remaining dust, over-spray or residue..... I gave it a good wash to remove any surface grime, then went over the paint-work and glass with a clay bar (separate one for the glass, of course). After a second wash and towel dry, I was pleased to see the paint-work didn't need much in the way of further correction. So I just gave it a light polish with Autoglym SRP using the dual action polisher, then buffed it to a shine by hand. I then finished with a coat of my favourite sealant - Chemical Guys Jet Seal. The paint should be nicely protected from the elements, but I'll still try to give it another coat of Jet Seal tomorrow, if it stays dry....... 🙂
  3. The Chiltern 2024 show came and went - Rob and I were there yesterday, and as before, it was a really good event.... So here are a couple of phone pics, before I upload the ones on my camera 🙂
  4. Today I used my Zed a little..... I had a dental appointment first thing, then Julia and I took the scenic route home, via a couple of garden centres. Don't these cars look great in the sunshine 😉
  5. Nice one Tom! I bought my tickets ages ago, so Julia and I will be there..... Hotel also booked for the Saturday night 🙂
  6. ....And today I collected my Zed from the paint shop....! I also had the OS rear quarter resprayed, as I have never been 100% happy with that panel since 2018. Oh, and I had the spoiler re-done too; the fibre glass had cracked above the brake light screws.... 😉 They did a very good job, the colour matches perfectly! Albeit after I got home, I noticed they forgot to paint the lower part of the rear bumper, so I'll have to drop it back for a day next week. It's just a blemish on the textured part of the lower LH corner, an easy fix - but it did bother me a little that it wasn't done. He's is a good guy though - proper old-school skilled sprayer... He's recommended by all the classic car owners in the surrounding villages!
  7. Possibly a re-post, but what the hell..... Check out number 35 🙂 GQ Rewinds: The Most Stylish Cars of the Past 50 Years | GQ

Minutes from the AGM are now posted in the subscribed members section 🙂
  9. I have just dropped mine off at the paint shop, to have the damage fixed following the little rear end shunt in March..... I should have it back Friday 🙂
  10. Took the Zed out for a little drive around the Oxfordshire countryside - we arrived at Rousham and spent a few hours wandering around the grounds in the spring sunshine...... 🙂
  11. Bumping this to the top again - just over two weeks to go and we only have two confirmed attendees...... This was a great show last year, so I'm reaching out to anyone within an hour's drive of Aylesbury - it's well worth the trip 🙂

Will do JP.... I'm probably driving up in Julia's car - my Zed is nice and clean in my garage, so best I leave it there.... I can move it when you arrive, if you bring your Zed 😉

Good afternoon all, In advance of tomorrow's AGM, I have put together a short agenda - attached for everyone's perusal. Historically, we have started the AGM at noon, but given the likelihood of inclement weather earlier in the day, I suggest we bring the meeting forward to 11am.... We can move it back to noon if people would prefer 😉 The minutes from 2023 can be found here..... See you tomorrow!! 300zx OC AGM Agenda Apr24.pdf

I'm leaving home at 8am, so "normal" driving means I should be there by nine..... BUT, I'm in the Zed LOL 😉
  19. Just took a look at the log cabins on their website.... It looks like they don't have their own en-suite facilities - so I reckon we'll find a hotel down the road, like last year 😉
  20. A belated happy birthday Gary - hope all's well with you mate!!
  21. Nice one Tom - this was a really good show last year, well worth the trip.... You do have to get into the venue early, which we found to our advantage, as we got to see and hear all theother exhibitors arriving from our plot. Talking to a couple of other participants, who arrived later than us, they queued for over an hour from the A14, before they finally pitched up 😉 I'm a provisional yes 🙂
  22. Many happy returns Bob - have a great day mate.....🎂
  23. As it's a nice sunny morning, I took my Zed on the Sainsbury's run - and stopped off at the local garden centre on the way home.....
  24. Many happy returns Ali - hope you have a great day mate!
