  1. I have a UK (European) spec auto as well - and would also think it's a false impression, BUT....... ....It's probably down to the fact that when the OD is locked out, the car only has to change from 3rd to 2nd; or even 1st - as opposed to changing down from a lazy 4th/overdrive. Also, with the OD off, the revs will be that much higher as you'll be sitting in 3rd; and with higher revs the turbos are naturally going to be more readily on boost.
  2. Nice update indeed Chris - and another heads up for Bri..... .....My neighbour bought a brand new Toyota truck back in October - and he's far from happy with both it; and Toyota dealers! The rear chrome bumper has gone rusty - and the corrosion keeps setting off the parking sensors at low speeds. Toyota does not want to know; and have categorically said "They only have to do the bare minimum repairs to fulfil the warranty!" My neighbour has insisted they replace the whole bumper - I mean, how do you "repair" a chrome bumper - but they are just not interested. Looks like Nissan is coming out tops. At work, we have bought the Nissan for one of our sister companies; and the driver is more than happy with it.... That's my endorsement over - and I don't even have one...
  3. Many happy returns Trish - have a great day...... xx Richard:happybday:
  4. PMSL, I was thinking that too......
  5. Looking good mate.... All I did to my Zed over the weekend, was drop it off at Jimmer's for a heater matrix replacement!! Had a nice, trouble-free run down to Bristol; despite the matrix leaking a bit... I shall look forward to collecting it next week, back in good health, after Jimmer has worked his magic:cool:
  6. A belated happy birthday for Saturday Joel.... Sorry I missed it... Hope you had a great day mate!! Richard
  7. Happy birthday Alan - have a great day mate! Richard:happybday:

  9. RIP John....
  10. I am all for increasing the speed limit - in the same way that I also agree to the lower variable limits we have on the M25 etc. However, we also have to improve driving standards as well; although hopefully a higher limit would be a deterrent for the current lane 2 and 3 hogs who sit there, resolute, at 70 "because that is the speed limit." Those folks would hopefully think twice about drifting into the next lane, if that car whizzing up behind at 90 was doing it legally! There would not be a massive increase in speeds either; as most normal people drive at a speed they feel comfortable at. Many already travel at 80-90mph; and would most likely not increase that to 100-110 mph, in the event the limit was raised to 90. Will I sign the petition though? Don't know.....
  11. Good to see you back Russ....... And all the best with your health issues mate; hope everything goes well...:clover:

Except for the scratched hands received, during the fitting process...
