  1. Right finally heard back from S/Z this afternoon. They ain't interested in discounts for numbers etc as they only have 6 sets in stock and they sell at a reasonable rate, they purchase in batches of 10 at atime, so that is the minum required for a discount, which isn't much at all. So currently these are $800 with shipping =£405. Even USPS will not do away with the import fees as they will not lower value less than 50%, so maximum fees are £85, minimum fees are £42, both plus post office fee of £13. Fraid the best i could do is £440 delivered. cheers smithy
  2. RB Motorsport have or did have 2 sets of R34 golds in stock smithy
  3. Big bucks mate, yer looking at supplying a small market in general supply terms. I looked at having sand casting moulds done for a different project which is easier and smaller and tooling alone was over 2.5K and that was based on buying over 200 finished items, you'd sell half that amount over years, if you were lucky ;) Those with big bucks have had their own made ( in the US) if there was a market for them, by now someone would have copied it am afraid. smithy
  4. Really good to see mate :hyper: Am sure Jeff will check it all over as much as possible for you ;) cheers smithy
  5. Seeing as you've bigger tubs, bigger injectors and taken care of the intake chrage temps with better SMIC's, then 16 psi is okay IMO. However the main part not forged in our block is the pistons and once you start upping the PSI and seeking more fuel, there was a flaw in the pre 95 Zeds with the fuel rails not providing enough fuel to No.6, hence why this one normally goes bang 1st. Under normal conditions it's not a problem. So in short expect a minor rebuild down the line ;) Oh and check timing is spot on if running too rich, though mine is constantly a little rich to further aid detonation. If wheels are spinning on the rollers too much, try a rolling road set up like Thor's where they take the wheels off and bolt the hubs up. Will reply to yer PM shortly. cheers smithy
  6. Hi mate, don't panic, this Zed in particular was we believe targeted. Wolfie thanks for that mate, however that's not the same model, again thanks for the thinking it might be :) I heard late last night there could be a major development on this case, hopefully will know more later today to report back. Again thanks guys  smithy
  7. Not at present, am just waiting on the owner sending them to me to post up later on after he's spoken with the officer dealing with this. Everyone, thanks for your concerns, the owner is now aware of all your good wishes and is very thankfull to you and now just hopes someone here maybe of some use no matter how small in helping to find his pride and joy in one piece :) A whisper, gossip, literaly anything that you here, just let me or Jeff know. 07624-490098 is my Number. cheers smithy
  8. Manual TT SWB's are not very common at all bud so thats a big start. In Black, a H reg and fairly stock brings it down even futher. So if something like the above is suddenly offered in parts or as a whole to someone, they theres a strong possibility I would say, also as either here or Ebay are the 2 obvious places to get shut :) cheers smithy
  9. Well hopefully by posting this on here it will make life a little harder for the culprits to either sell parts off or even the car itself, IF the they are in some way related to this site! cheers smithy
  10. A John Dixon mapped custom chip :) smithy
  11. Possibly ! Just been speaking with Jeff at Zedworld tonight and he's told me about a SWB TT Manual in Black on a H reg that has been nicked from there early hours of this morning. I say possibly a fellow Zedder being involved is because of the knowledge the culprits had of Zeds and their workings in general. For reasons i can't mention, this SWB was boxed in with other cars and it was disabled by Jeff personally as well as fitting a sterring lock. The culprits gained access to the blocker cars BUT removed a particular part from one in order to fit to the SWB in order to start it and then drive it away. Your average car thief am sure wouldn't know what parts were missing and how to locate others etc, so am certain this person knows his Zeds, if he/she does then theres a possiblity they are known on here which to me IMO is an attck of sorts to our 300zx community  If anyone hears of any gossip/info or the whereabouts of this SWB TT Manual H reg, I'd be grateful if you either let Zedworld know, ( click link for details) http://www.zedworld.co.uk/wizzk.html or contact myself to pass on the info. This of course can be in the strictest confidence. Am sure a reward of sorts would be in order if any info supplied leads to an arrest or return of car. Needless to say the owner is rather upset as these babies are a bit rare out there. Oh and the day before a new product was fitted on the car which can only be used on SWB's, if your offered something new and previously fitted to a SWB, let me know as it may help, again I'll hold of saying what it is for now. thanks in advance for any help folks :)
  12. Must confess it seems strange to have such low figures mate after a basic rebuild done previously, this i assume had new pistons an rings ? cheers smithy
  13. The same company who done the paintwork on "the beast" Jason's baby. It was the 1st time he'd used the method that Alsa say to do and tbh any half decent paint shop can use it, assuming they follow the instructions, lol You start of with painting high gloss black, wet sand if you want. Then dust spray with chrome paint, then spray with laquer mixed with candy choice and any other additive. Heres alsa range :) http://alsacorp.com/paints.htm smithy
  14. It's alright bud, the previous 5 peeps had already answered his question, about the "Cover" ! Ollie, it's alsa paints candy apple red with gold dust flake in the laquer :) Glad yer like it, i done the coil pack brackets, fuel filter bracket and the rocker covers all the same, looks sweettttt cheers smithy
  15. Glad you like it :) Charles park from Powertrix is the official supplier of my products in the US mate, drop him a line as I will be shipping some to him on Monday. Oh and a nice pic of it here taken from my own engine bay http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/images/product%20imgs/enh047_large.jpg Oh and thanks guys :) cheers smithy
  16. Correct as regards the using the r34 discs, it can improve braking quite a lot. Hence why i do it as a kit :) As for the Brembos NOT being better than nissan ones, it is not correct, though once your using the bigger discs, you will see a marginal improvement if you eventually add the skyline brembos at a later date, as Turboz did.. smithy
  17. Don't worry mate, rubble fitted my "big brake kit" thats entirely different to what Znut had, which was standard sized improved discs and pads :) Hope that explains it fella. cheers smithy
  18. Drilled, grooved, dimpled and slotted, just different terminology mate. Slotted usually a name used by those outside UK, Grooved usually used by those inside UK. :) cheers smithy
  19. Parcelforce standard to the US is insured for £150 mate, you can pay extra for a higher level and it will be marked on the bottom right hand side of your slip if you paid it. The very top right number is the tracking, however if sent economy, thats by sea and not really trackable, if sent standard, then that is and again it's marked on the slip which service you used. Average time is usually 10 days for claims to be finalised. Hope that helps in some small way, sozzz smithy
  20. Hope this helps :) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=872153&postcount=2 cheers smithy
  21. How mystic :) CRC dropped my Zed off at Zedworld on Tuesday now shes all painted so that Jeff could fit the air ride suspension, anyways I had Falcon down there fitting my alarm too. I opted for the FULL GSM alarm system, pretty snazzy :) No probs so far with the remote start, takes 5 seconds to kick in and shes running.. Oh and this guy didn't hang about cos he had it all fitted and running in 4 hours  Good luck! smithy
  22. If the car is less than 10 years old, it requires a model report and one of tehse does not exist for a Z32. cheers smithy
  23. Turboz Graham s Smithy C'mon folks, if i can spend nearly 4 hours on the irish sea for this plus some driving, sure you can drive for a few hours :) smithy
  24. Well pretty much, they use the same pads and the calipers are the same, however the r32 had just 16mm bigger front discs than the Z32. smithy
  25. Oh cool :p Just replied to yer email bud. thanks smithy
