  1. Greater volumes of exhaust/wastegate gases are created from bigger turbo's that are being pushed to perform, hence more work for the divorced wastegate pipes to do. smithy
  2. Given your plans and the turbo's you plan to use then yep deffo go for the super splits. The Z1 version are copies of Greg's very early pipes and perform well, however for the added cost and planned spec, it's worth it ;) Greg constantly looks to improve products including his own and since these particular super splits he has launched 2 newer versions for the serious bhp guys out there, however given the new pipe diameter and length's, it's unsure at this stage if they will fit our RHD versions. All his own branded exhaust products are fully tested in development to ensure they meet the claims he gives and are off the very highest quality. His exhaust system which i use, sounds and performs fantastically  For anyone running stock or T25 sized tubs, then for the money the 2fast2cool pipes are ample. smithy
  3. if it was it wouldn't be a 400bhp chip! All you need to know is where your mate got it and what mods it's meant for. But to call a chip a 400bhp chip, erm :nono: smithy
  4. I think with 21K in the club account, spending just 10% would see this club promoted at many many shows and for a good number of years to come. So for such a small amount of money, it would be well spent and at least we're actually doing something with it, IMO :) smithy
  5. Dam sommeone had to beat me :D there's only another cos i was stupid enough to import a 2nd one for someone else, I should have said no ;) Smithy
  6. Jaffa on here as em mate, sure he will post. He has in the past posted that he's happy with them though ;) smithy
  7. And a well deserved impressive feature in Total Nissan mate, well done ;) smithy
  8. Dam, yer found me :D your correct. cheers smithy
  9. Yes course, avoid chips and cheap filters of Ebay and when modding for higher boost and power levels have it done correctly and have it checked for general detting. No.6 cylinder does lack a bit of fuel but only when the boost is too high and or when the injectors are maxing out. The 300 degree fuel rail helps push more fuel in the right direction when modding the engine, but this is ideally only done when fitting bigger injectors too. If your starting on the road of modifying, just been careful to ensure you don't run too high boost and you should be fine. smithy
  10. Yup! only to say as regards the pistons, they arn't forged but they ain't that weak either. problem is the vast majority of Zeds have some serious mileage on them now and certainly any that are running higher than stock boost may have suffered detonation and those running too high boost risk det more on No.6 cylinder on pre 95ish Zeds due to a lack of fuel which these models suffered when modified. (different fuel rails and lower plenum design on pre 95 models) smithy
  11. I would strongly advise before looking any further for someone to fit the outer sill that you double check that is all that is required. Very often the case once the outer panel is removed, any one of the inner 3 panels could be fooked and this involves a lot more work. Firstly peel back the carpet from around the footwell in the rear seating area where it meets the seatbelt anchoarge points, if you spot rust there, then it's travelled through all 4 panels in total and it is a lot of work. If no rust, jack the car up and look under the rear suspension mounting points, that's panel number No.3, if no rust there, then just doing the outer is quite simple, however there is a 2nd one right behind it which you can't see until the outer is removed. Rear arch is simple, cost me 60 quid for a metalwork shop to cut old arch out and weld in a new panel, but bodyshop made good the finish. So in short, check these points first and if worse than 1st thought, source the remaining panels and go to an actual metal fabricators/welders workshop for the work. smithy
  12. A lot of Andy's website content is taken from numerous sources around the world and this one in particular he makes clear is from a Jap website. Like anyone else would, you can assume the pic is of a genuine 99 spec, but again as he say's, he's not seen one in the flesh, so in short he would not know either way 100%. I would very much doubt more than a handful of peeps on this forum have seen 99 specs in "the flesh" being so rare. If clear brake light section is your thing, the only company that could do it possibly ( correctly ) is http://www.clearcorners.com/products/nissan/300zx2/ smithy
  13. He means the links to all the other various websites that we used to have. Used to be a bar up by the advertising banner, now it's gone. Am sure Pete maybe aware and wil look into it though, he's been pretty shit hot so far ;) smithy

Saz, as this now seems to have attracted in excess of 100 fellow Zedders a figure i very much doubt will attend the new JAE location. Is it worth asking the committe to make this our MAIN meet of the year. Hold the AGM etc and have support from the club for things like chairs, marque and trophies etc. This surely would greatly reduce your costs thus creating more money for the charity or is this all a bad idea :D Oh might be worth having a mod clean up this thread, 30 odd pages takes some reading for the 1st time, yikes! smithy
  16. Aeropalace, 1 of only 2 in the UK am aware off :) http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.aeropalace.co.jp/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Daeropalace%26hl%3Den smithy
  17. I got mine from tarc-art mate http://shop.trac-art.co.uk/product.php?xProd=41&xSec=1&jssCart=9cbfdbdec9731d2522cf8270c81587ed I know danny can do the AP 6 pot kit for just under 2K, which about 300 under list price. Heres mine cheers smithy
  18. 32mm mate and they part of the KAD Skyline GTR 6 pot kit. cheers smithy
  19. Alot depends on the wheel/spoke design, but you could get upto around 365mm discs in there. Am using 355mm ones, however they fit easily with these wheels i have now (18in) but wouldn't fit with my old anterra's which were also an 18in. smithy
  20. yep! responded to the PM. Smithy
  21. Correct mate :) When i stripped out an old alarm system it was wired through this relay and i had to bridge the terminals in order to get it to work. Not hard to get at. smithy
  22. Because it's not black an white as that Saz. It can easily be sorted with Jeff and and a committee member say for example Mac, in a private thread for only them to post in and for all to see. Am sure both parties have records of what's happened and will have them available to show to back what ever they are typing. This subject actaully started from Emero's car many years ago, so that would be cleared up as well. On a side note though Saz and please this is not a dig at you :) your holding an event for charity based around Zeds and you want it to be as succesful as possible ( cash wise), if it were me doing this, i would have approached the biggest and most helpful company involved in the world of Zeds for help with both promotion and sponsership, maybe you hadn't thought about this avenue, but i did suggest this to your partner! cheers smithy
  23. Pretty good idea in principal and bantered around for a long time now with nothing going forward. However it does have a flaw in that someone who may have never been to garage A can leave negative feedback OR as in most cases there are 2 sides to every story and unless the relevant trader can respond, it will never be a true accurate record. In this case, the thread started favourably in relation to Zedworld and some people ( usually the same 3 or 4) take exception and try and turn it around. I don't know if it's a case that zedworld some 8-9 years on are still the biggest and most succesful zed specialst going that upsets them or they like living in the past. I do think though, the few odd stories about zedworld that keep getting dragged up should be sorted and put to bed once and for all, as said above, 2sides to every story and we only EVER hear the 1  I've asked once already, so committee, do we either carry on with 1 sided myth's and hearsay post's ruining good intentioned threads or be big enough to sort it all out and then put it to rest! :) smithy
  24. Well i'll happily challenge this load of *****cks! I have even asked here that the myths around what Zedworld have or havn't or meant to have done be sorted out once an for all by way of an private thread with them, but for all to see. If anything to stop pathetic posts cropping up like this for another frigging 10 years :headvswal. Needless to say it will never stop. Christ and there's so called Z specialist's cropping up and closing down all the time causing great distress to many, erm unlike zedworld!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smithy
