  2. cool cheers, are the fixtures and fittings all the same, regardless?
  3. Are the stock brakes the same on all 300zx's, regardless of model? Cheers.
  4. welcome, i too used to have a red-top calibra :) then i bought a zed :) yum
  5. Soo err, the wheels in the pictures, they are 19"? All very useful info, thanks all. Definitely some food for thought. :)
  6. ah that would explain it, was in contact with him second week of july see so been quiet for a while. thx ;)
  7. Anybody had word from him lately? was arranging a JDM rear bumper but he gone quiet recently was expecting a price back for shipping etc, but he not picked up my most recent mail. So if you read this or if anybody can contact him to give him a nudge, would be great to get back in touch. Cheers!
  8. Oh thats a good idea, I did wonder who it belonged to. Thx.
  9. Could somebody please describe the necessary components required to achieve a stance not to dissimilar to this, I gather that it has Meister coil overs, but what about spacers, wheel sizes, wheel widths, tyre sizes etc ... much appreciated as hoping to achieve something similar on mine (probably with more ride height) ... because it looks tasty. :) From the thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1403360&postcount=2
  10. Made this a couple of weeks ago in the end: There was a formula to calculate the difference in torque for the offset of the socket center to the jaw center. I think it was "torque x (torque bar length / (torque bar length + distance to jaw center))" So e.g. 78ftlbs x (430mm / (430mm + 25mm)) == 73.71ftlbs But yeah £4 quid tool.
  11. yer ... i seen some on fleebay but they cost like 40 quid for a 32mm one, this is to torque inner tie rods up etc. Spose could just weld a socket onto an adjustable spanner or something, be alot cheaper.
  12. Does anyone have a 32mm crows foot spanner and a scissor style ball joint seperator I could borrow please? Just doing me rear steering, and these tools are quite expensive to buy new, just for one job :( I can collect & return from the Bristol / Bath / Wells / Glastonbury area or near by! Or unless someone can recommend some tool hire places around these parts ... Cheers guvnors! :cowboy:
  13. K thanks for the advice. I'll have to check the condition of the gaskets as they come off and go from there. Exciting :)
  14. Hi I'm dropping the exhaust from the cat back this weekend to get at various bits like rear steering, diff oil plug etc, plus to polish and check for any damage, any advice on what I'll need to do a proper job of fitting them back on? new gaskets/some kind of exhaust paste/sealant? Cheers
  15. Oh I just came on to see if there was any updates on the meet tomorrow evening at chew valley lake .......... only to discover that it was the 24th and not the 27th! B*******ks in other words! I was well looking forward to it, how did I get my wires crossed :( should of put it in my phone diary ffs Ahh well, I would of only had Little K as Z is currently in bits :} but I did want a poke around your guys cars for some ideas ... sh!t :| soz :(
  16. K I've just spoken with them and they've released the payment. U should have the monies now ;)
  17. thank you very much, my PM is sent! My PayPal balance is showing zero, so whatever has happened I'm down 15 quid - the resolution center shows the transaction is on 'Temporary Hold' ... I imagine paypal is sitting on the cash whilst in limbo to top slice some interest. I shall monitor the situation and react accordingly. If the refund hits my account I'll bounce it straight back to your good self. Otherwise I anticipate it will just head it's merry way back to you anyway. :)
  18. Wow I want to do this too! job for next weekend after I've purchased the gubbins!
  19. Anyway thats what the dispute resolution center says - the transaction details says 'completed', I would have expected it to say 'reversed' (as documented by their status code help). So perhaps it sorted now?
  20. hmm the transaction is 'currently being reviewed by paypal', not sure why but I had to update a load of out of date info with them, so perhaps it will just automatically resolve from here on in now I've updated it all and reverified all my details. If it doesn't by beginning of next week then I'll do transaction again. Bloody paypal. Anyways I really need to send a PM can I have me subscribed status? ;) I'm good for the cash guv honest!
  21. "We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures. Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance, and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages." Ah ... k I'll sort it out ?? :)
  22. AndyP: No problem afaik although I have had an e-mail from paypal saying theres a problem with my account? Thought it went through without a problem. Hmmm let me check it out ....
  23. Hi I've just resubscribed ... only noticed it ran out because I wanted to send a PM ? :) OH and whilst i'm thinking about it .......... my membership badge reads 'RapidTommy' .... erm? May I have a new one please? RapidTommy sounds indicative of a sexual dysfunction LOL  Cheers
  24. yeh bruv it going pretty good :} I'm up to my usual lurking on the forums n what not, got me head down working hard as ever. Now living in Bristol; absolutely loving it. Have just had a heavy couple of weeks, Glastonbury followed by St Pauls carnival, my oh my I would feel like such a waster if the 9 to 5 wasn't keeping me busy :online2long: Pretty gutted tho that only time I can really work on car is during summer when its good weather. She off the the road cuz she's a bit untidy, shouldn't of gone travelling and bought a zed at the same time but damn no regrets  I ploughing some serious TLC into her over the next few monthes so I suspect I'll be on the boards alot more. I'm gonna need the support of fellow enthusiasts to see me through lol but then I don't tend to ask for much  Hope all is well down your end? :turned:
