I have Wiseco and they look a good piston. Lighter than stock and look well built. Wiseco make motorbike and powerboat pistons mainly but are becoming more popluar with cars now. I know some one who has a Lancia paid £800 for a set of wiseco pistons.

Definate signs of chassis movement. But there are no major folds in it. I think that could be pulled out on a Jig. The bit which has moved is really flimsy anyway and I wouldnt call it a part of the structural chassis. I have a feeling they will write that off, but I think it wont cost as much as you think to fix it.

I think you may get away with it. Look at the picture there is nothing there until where the bonnet latches, and the same distance below. The bonet bent because it actually hangs over that first part of the chassis over the head lights. At an educated guess, I would say that the impact didnt reach the chassis. It would have to go on a jig to confirm this, but I think this is salvageable. I think you have been lucky enough for the bumper, slam panel and airbox are has taken the impact. Look at where the bonnet is. I would presume that is how far the poll went in. Its level with the head lights. Now look at my picture. Imagine the headlights are in it. The bar above where the lights go is 2-3 inches behind where the lights would be. I actually think the post didnt reach the chassis.

Make sure you have check your car fully to see why it thinks it is detonating. Have you checked the timing? Have you done a mode II ECU check to see if the O2 sensors are reading correctly? Do you have an air leak?

Im tempted too. We can get a Z trackday for that cheap. You can book a whole track out for about £3000 with ambulance on standby marshalls everything. Its then up to you to sell the places. 30 places at £100 each and you have a Z day :D I would like this. Airfield so there are no barriers to crash into, and plenty of run off. :D
