  1. My engine had done about 168,000 miles when I did my engine rebuild. The history which I had lots of, showed now evidence or a rebuild and all the parts taken off my engine when rebuilding it, where original. Look after them and 150,000 miles is no problem. The turbos may not last that long though.
  2. Plus the stock intercoolers are not the best in the world.
  3. Its amazing at how little attention some people pay on to the road.
  4. Problem is if you change too quick on a Z, you crunch the gears. Getting a short shift means you change gear quicker and then cruch more often. So you have to change gear slower.
  5. cwshredder Search for it and try it.
  6. We tried for a track day with just Zs, from the 240 to 350s. But it never happened. :(
  7. I personally perfer the diablo.
  8. Look in the traders section. There are a number of Z breakers who will have what you need. If it is just the pulley, I would think that getting an aftermarket set would be cheaper than NIssan ones.
  9. When you finially got it started did it run like shit and you had to fight to keep it going? If so, try cleaning the connectors on the water temperature sensor. Take the sensor out and give that a clean too.
  10. He looks like weird al yankovic doing Armish Paradise What do you think?
  11. Why are so many people embarassed about the Nissan or Z badge?

  16. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bucks/herts/4575291.stm Personally I blame the schools  They get blamed for everything else.
  17. I get 3-4 of those a week. My email filter deletes them straight away
  18. Personally I think mecnical boost gauges are better. You can just take a feed from where the stock one is. For water and oil use electronic
  19. This is what is usually on my desktop
  20. The car never missed a beat on the way home. Oil pressure was perfect, no smoke and I have done over 320 miles on 1 tank and still have some left. I dont think there is anything particually wrong with ti. Just need to know how what is causing the smoke which only occurs when flooring it. There is no reason you should try to go for that 12s, its already been done ;)

Basically there where pro cars there as well as bikes. The pro cars jumped to the front of the queue and each one took about 2-3 mins some times more to setup to run. And then all the bikes had about 30mins of doing runs, but because of the number of bikes they all got a go. Then they had about 20 mins of cars, (if that at times) before letting a large number of pro cars have a go. Adam and I where there first thing and where first in the queue. We had 2 runs in just under 4 hours.
  22. when my timing was out the revs would not go over 4000rpm. Its probably some sort of electronic limiter which kicks in when it knows the timing was wrong. Maybe this has happened to you? You can have the timing wrong and do very little damage if any. It depends on how much the timing was out and how the car was driven during that period.
  23. Any one got times to post up?
