300 ZX as a project.
Performance Exhaust £400-£1000+ (Most have one one anyway) Induction £100-£200 Decat Pipes £50-£70 for gutting you current pipes, £200 £250 for test pipes. ECU Chip £150-£450 Depending on what you get and who you get it from. Boost Controller £200-£600 you get what you pay for. Boost Jets £4 (Increses the boost like a boost controller but you have no control to lower it or rise it) With that you should have a car the produces close to 400bhp, depending on boost setting. But by then the clutch will start to slip as it cant take the extra power. That will set you back £400 for the clutch and then fitting. Stuart

This is Nelsons worse thread. Its a speed record for towing more mass. ;)

Camber Kits
There could be a few reasons why the tyres are wearing. Bad bushes, sagging springs, lowered car. Get a full lazer check of the allignment of your car. There are a few kits for the front cambre of the car but the only ones I have seen are from the US. Stuart

Top gear
The car that holds the record is a Escort Cosworth. We saw it race at Three Sisters Track in Wigan. Wasnt that impressive around a track. Apparently the owner said it could be a Fireblade (I think it was) motorbike in a 1/4 mile race. Yeah right Stuart

car mp3 players
I got mine from that audiodirect.co.uk that was posted on here a few days ago. They rated the Rockforge as the best MP3 player under £200. It doesnt have ID3 but it does show the File name of the track which can be 32 characters long. The advantaged of not having ID3 apparetently is it takes less time to load a CD and to start playing a track. You can see the radio on my signature now. The updated one is in graphite Grey or something not sliver. Stuart

banning boy racers
Driving at 30 in a 30 isnt driving slowly. Driving at 60 in a 60 isnt driving slow. Some people drive at certain speeds just because its faster than they should go. We have all had people over taking up in a 30 zone while we are doing 30, but they still do it when I'm going 60 in a 60 zone. Its not about speed its about twats wanting to go faster than every one else. And it also seems the slower the car is the faster they feel they have to go.

I think Im going to get a letter about going through a red light.
There was a garden fire about 20 yards away from the camera. The smoke probably set it off. Stuart

banning boy racers
The way I see it, there are people who are out socialising. Some people call them but they generally stay out of trouble. However when they start doing Dough-Nuts and racing down the street they deserve any trouble they get.

Tidying my backside......
Wouldn't it be better to, loop through, twist, loop back and then round and then one final twist before looping to hide it. ;) ;) ;) ;) Stuart

There is a demo one you can use. It doesnt actually do anything because its not plugged into anything. But can load it and see all the great things it can do. Like change timing, tell you the value of every sensor, chech injector pulses, error codes. Run diags on your Hicas, Air Con, Auto Box, Mode I and II diags one your ECU and engine. It is really really impressive. Stuart

I think Im going to get a letter about going through a red light.
But the really funny thing was, I was stopped at the lights for about a second when the camera went off. Really strange. Obviously it wasnt working properly but if I do get a letter I will ask for the photographs and it will show a car stopped at lights. Stuart

Brakes 'n Boost
You didnt see his tyre. When I asked him how long he has had them he said 3 years. When I took them off, the outside edge of one has worn down to the wire layer. I think Dave was a little shocked at that. Think it gave us a reality check as that could have blown out at any time. Stuart

It does the same job as a Nissan consultant. If you go to Nissan as ask them to check your car, they will charge you £50 just to test it. If you want to buy one, you will be lucky to get one under £1,000 I think the £250 price tag is a little high but they did spend months and months developing it. Personally I think if they brought the price down to £100 or so, they would easily sell twice as many. Stuart

Modified 300ZX against my virtually stock one ;)
Its 1-1 now. :D He still has a boost leak some where but we have no idea where it is. It is near the turbo :( When we got to about 4000rpm his higher boost caused him to pull away, but after every gear change I actually managed to get some back but not much before his turbos spooled up. I have decatted pipes which as discussed makes you turbos spool significantly quicker. I wonder what it will be like though when the other boost leak is sorted. It is quite bad but no where as near as bad as the main one we found. After pressurising the engine Dave said he could actually feel the air coming out. That is how bad it was. Stuart

Haynes Manual
I have asked they dont have a Haynes manual for our 300ZX.

air con problem
Do you press auto? Cos it will turn off when the temperature you set it to is reached inside the car. Stuart
