  1. There seems to be a black wire with white marks on it, which exposes itself from the PTU wiring. Is that the one does any one know? Stuart
  2. Just 1 wire on the PTU or will it work connecting it to the PTU wire.? Thanks Stuart
  3. If you have a UK Z you can get it on modern classic and use your NCB on your 2nd car. Or most places now, if you have Full NC, will mirror it and give you full NC on your 2nd car too. Stuart
  4. I just got every day carb cleaner and sprayed it in. Didnt use the straw. Just get every day stuff. I needed a full can. Stuart

Put a V8 in your car
  6. I have a Gunpro timing light. I have connected it to the battery but I am having trouble putting the clip on which goes normally on a HT lead. Where do I put it on the Z? If I put it on the wire to the coil pack of cylinder 1 nothing happens. The gun does work. Where do I clip the detector of the timing light gun on the Z? Any ideas as I want to test the timing. She seems to be popping a lot lately. Stuart
  7. I can get the £35 one. I dont have HICAS ;)
  8. Netto have Buy 1 Apple or Orange Tango 2 litre bottle and get 1 free. :D
  9. Goto your local car shop and ask for some carb cleaner. Loads of places make it. Why you want Valvoline in particular? Stuart
  10. There you go I fiddled it a little.
  11. Its was getting dark by then. Here is what the original photo looked like before I adjusted stuff to make it brighter. The sun set very quickly and the camera struggled to get a photo. Stuart
  12. I think you confused people with the EGR Valve which recirculates. Stuart
  13. Oooo thats nasty. :(
  14. 2nd one if any. Thing is you dont really need any air getting in. There is already air in there and it needs to get out. Blowing cold air in from the front wont really help as there is already trapped air trying to get out and they will hinder each other. The other way the air going over the bonnet will suck the hot air out which is what you want. Plus it will help keep the frost off in the moring with hot engine air escaping near your window. ;) Stuart
  15. Big no. Even bigger than that Z
  16. Personally i blame the bikini manufacturers for making them to fit women like that. There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling. Stuart
  17. RR dont tell you much though really, just the power. There is more to a car than how much an engine pushes out. Take your car to a track ( A proper track with corners, none of this 1/4 mile rubbish) and I bet a pro driver would beat any of our time in a car with half the power. I have witnessed an every day Punto out run Mitu Evos and Subarus round a really tight track because it was driven by a pro. Stuart
  18. Does any one know how to get at the EGR valve as it is right at the back and hard to get to. Any ideas any one? Stuart
  19. Yeah it sounds like a snake is down there. ;) and the fact of when its pressuried to about 6psi, it all goes in about 10 seconds.
  20. I can back that up. I had a great view on the top on Nessies head. ;)
  21. I am trying to find another boost leak as it sound like its got a little worse. It sounds like its coming from the back of the engine right in the middle. I have taken off the balance bar, moved the wiring loom out of the way and had a look but I cant really see any hoses there which could be turbo related. There are 2 or 3 quite wide ones which seem to go into the bulk head which I presume is air con related. Are there any vacume hoses back there? I cant pressurise it at the moment because the balance bar is off but if I put it back on it will hinder my view of the back of the engine. Advice please. Stuart
  22. Thanks guys. I took both temp senors off a few days ago and gave them both a good clean. Its surprising how shiney they are when you scrub them up good. MAC would be proud of how shiney they where ;) The plugs are only about 10,000 miles old but I will still check them and way, and I wil check out the wireing there too. Could be the MAS, but with a MAS problem, it tends to be a more obvious misfire. This was really suttle, but I am not ruling out the MAS. I was thinking more along the lines of a fuel blockage but Im not too sure now. Stuart
  23. Wow calm down, cos in the end you know that my 650bhp Z is way better than his anyway. Nothing can beat my car when all my dials are turned to blue. Its like adding another 2 cylinders to the car. ;)
  24. yeah I remember that vote. I was the only person to vote no to it and got slated about it ;) Now look at who's missing their status message changing thing ;) :p Stuart
