How much faster 0-60 would you say.....
Personally I think that 30 onwards is a lot faster. 1st gear it is almost too powerful with most of the time the wheels spinning. Stuart

no brakes
I bet what has happened you get brakes for a Z31. Make sure you ask for a Z32. I am sure UK pads fit too. Stuart

How much faster 0-60 would you say.....
How much faster 0-60 would you say a Z is with a chip and running 15psi? Has any one got any times, as when I went for a drive, it felt very fast but its hard to say how much faster I was going. I felt when the car reached 80mph as it is now, would have been the same time I reached 60mph when stock. Any thoughts? I tried to video my first drive with my car like this, but I has no where to attach it to. I put it on so it was looking at my turbo gauge so you can see how much faster it moves :D but the gear stick got in the way some times and it kept getting moved too :S Stuart

Question 4 Monday?
16 Professor Tonedef: Half his records (16) plus half more = 8 + 4 left with 4 Whistling Willy: Half of what is left (4) plus half more = 2 + 1 Leaving him with 1. Is that right? Stuart

TVs and room size
For screens, you need to be between 3 and 10 times the size of the screen away to be safe. Stuart

Hissing
Shouldnt really hiss. You could do a lot worse than get a boost leak detector from Vijay. It is a very good peice of kit and will help you find any leaks. I know my EGR is pissing out air. Stuart

Front Strut Tower Brace
The ones you get from Ebay are the ones from here http://www.advancetuning.com/ He just puts them on Ebay every now and then to get some interest. They do work and do make a very noticable difference to the way the car handles. Even DaveW could feel the difference the way it handles when he put one of these on. They look good and are good build. There are holes in the brackets to feed the fuel lines through so you dont end up squashing them. The only bad thing I have to say about them, is its a little too high. At first I had trouble closing the bonnet and when I did it didnt close like it used to and was actually rised in the middle slightly. For me it was a good starting one as it was very cheap until I knew if they did anything to the car. It does and I will probably buy a better fitting one when I can afford it. So the pros and cos of these ones are, Pros: They do work, Cheap compaired to other which cost between £150-£250, Easy to fit, They look good, Good customer service, No tax to pay when it comes in the country. Cons: Its a little too high, and could bend the bonnet slightly. (But take it off and the bonnet is fine again, well for me it was) Stuart

is 1.00 bar safe?
The higher you go the more chance of braking somthing, also each car is different and especially with cars getting older like ours, some parts may not be working as well as they should, like intercoolers. If you car is working well 1 bar should be OK. Stuart

Boost Problems??
No you dont get goosing of the waste gate. You MAY get a goose noise from your recirculating valves. This wont cause any damamge, its just the noise of the air whizzing round the hoses and creating a short noise like when blow over the top of an empty bottle. Sorry cant help you with the other things. Kirbz, and hour and a half sounds OK to reset it. You could try longer.

Typical Amarican engine then. Less than 70bhp per litre. ;) Only joking. Nice colour :D

Boost Problems??
The way boost jets work, it tricks the wastegate in thinking its runing normal boost, by starving if of some if the pressure. Even though you are running 15psi, the wastegate still thinks you are running at 9. So when saftey boost is activated the waste gate drops the pressure to what it thinks is 7psi, but because its being tricked, it will drop to about 9-10 or so, but it will drop. A boost controller actually takes complete control of the wastegate. If you dont have boost jets in and have a boost controller, the wastegate will try to close at 9psi but the boost controller will hold it open regardless. Its the same with safty boost. The wastegate will want to close a 7psi but the controller will keep it open. Turn the controller off when safty boost is activated and you will be running 7psi. However when safty boost is activated it effects the timing of the engine which will slow it down slightly, but should not effect your boost level with a boost controller. Stuart
