  1. Its easier to explain to a woman when the parts you are replacing are broken. They dont understand that you want to change your turbos but your other ones are working fine. The conversation will go a little like: MAC: Im getting new turbos, its gonna cost £1,000 (You never tell the other half the REAL cost). Mrs MAC: Why do you need them? Are the ones you have broke? MAC: No. Mrs MAC: So why do you need them? Whats wrong with the ones you have now. MAC: Nothing. Mrs MAC: Well you are not having them. Go to your room, no sex for you for a month. Its easier when the ones you have are broken. MAC: Im getting new turbos, its gonna cost £1,000 (again lie about the cost) Mrs MAC: Why do you need them? Are the ones you have broke? MAC: Yes. Mrs MAC: Oh OK then. See. :D Stuart
  2. I actually found some one very local to me who do 4 wheel tracking too. Very handy as its only 5 mins away instead of 25 miles away. Its well worth doing. I get a 4 wheel track done every year now. Stuart
  3. Any one got any video footage of these cars in action?
  4. One of the best mods I have done. Very well worth it. Here is a quick Vid using DIVX of a quick launch with Traction Control if any one wants to see. If you only get sounds, then download the DIVX driver from http://www.divx.com Stuart

So its more speed related than rev related. Just becuase your turbos are not showing any positive boost doesnt mean they are not turning and making a sound. If you can hear a boost leak at 40-70mph its going to be a very major one.

More detail please. Is your car stationary when you do this?
  7. You been watching too much Day Time TV ;)
  8. Are you sure the 300ZX was not the older one? There is a Spark Plug forum in the traders. Ask them for some plugs as they can get different and better ones. Stuart
  9. Was it Birks who was beat by a VW Polo? ;) I dont try with bikes as I think it is a little too dangerous as they tened be have cut through traffic to get to the front of the lights and are a little too close. I have thought about it and when I thought the bike was trying it on, I would nearly ram them up the back. Also considering my dad's bike does 0-60 in 4.1 and its a touring bike not a sports bike, I dont think I would have stood much of a chance. As for cars, nothing to exciting to report and I dont try it on normal roads. Think the best I have done was a Porsche 911 with 3 people in my car, on the first day I got it. :D Stuart
  10. You will aways bet stuffed by a Porsche 911 Turbo. They are 450bhp stock, weigh a lot less, 4 wheel drive and state of the art Traction Control. Stuart
  11. This one Oh sorry you wanted the pic of the Skyline, not the Supra ;)
  12. Where is this prison which does free paint jobs. :D Looks a good job to me too :D Stuart
  13. V-Spec. Its got better diffs, larger brakes. Plus less miles.
  14. Could the ECU be doing something before causing it to over heat? Wrong timing? Wrong mixture? Stuart
  15. I was thinking that but its not ECU controlled is it? I thought it was automatic. Stuart
  16. Is it a Fairlady?

Stock manual boxes can hold upto 600bhp it is said. It can take 500bhp no problems, but with an uprated clutch. However stock autoboxes wont really last long with 400-450bhp and you need to get an uprated one. So its either Manual and change the clutch when you get more power, or Auto and change the box when you get more power. All I will say I have not heard one person say their manual box is not working, but clutches do go, but you expect that. Stuart
  18. All of a sudden my car has stopped over heating and I dont know why. Usually driving down a motorway about 70/80 would cause the temp to get over 100C which didnt fill me with confidence. A few days ago I was doing something to my car and I disconnected the battery for over 24 hours, so the ECU was reset, driving today on the motorway between 70/80 when its 27C outside and the temperature never went over 85C. Driving round normal roads and the temp dropped to 60ish. What could have happened to make the temp drop so much? Stuart
  19. Could be worse. Could be a Supra
  20. Its impossible to say as every car is different. Up rated flywheel, diff, prop shaft, drive shaft, bearing etc etc etc will help the efficeincy. It also depends what condition of these parts. But stock I would say a manual is about 18% 20%. YOu probably have a uprated flywheel which helps quite a bit.
  21. He didnt like icecream with mini mars bars, smarties and chocolate sauce either ;) Stuart
  22. I know there are 7 but we decided to just bet on the 4. We have enough TVs. I just cant see them all at once. This is really going to effect my surfing time at work. :D :D :D Stuart
  23. Tonight I am forced to watch, Rangers V Stutgart, Sparta Prague V Chelsea Manchester United V Panathinaikos Real Madrid V Marseille and Sky Sports 1 Gilette Soccer Centre. I dont like football. Any one want to swap? :( Stuart
  24. Have seen a grey Z driven by a woman round Southport. Stuart
  25. Hmm. I cant seem to get it to pick it up though. :( I put it in the holder thing but its miles smaller. I will try to wrap it round a few times see if that helps. Stuart
