  1. Errrr, Dont know. There is no history of anything major being done with the engine, and I have a folder full. But to be truthful, it runs too well to be original. P.S. I know people are only joking ;) But I must say that 90% of the things I said where true though.
  2. Oh there is. You have to get close ;)
  3. See, now why are you calling my car? I didnt call yours? I did not call imports, I stated (MAC expression coming up) FACTs ;) about the differences between a UK and Japanes Import and why some people go for UK ones. Yes my car is rusty and is probably the worst one in this country body wise, but I did a deadly sin when buying a car, I bought the first one I saw. But my car has NEVER been into a garage because of mechanical failure. FACT! (Thanks MAC ;)) I think one is needed. Yep its coming! (My first dancing Banana!) ;) So it is I who shall :slap: you ;) Hehehe
  4. Like all things simalar to this, there are always news of big changes or break throughs. To me it just sounds like they have a plan or design and it has yet to be implimented. It will be 5 years before we see this engine starting to become useful and then probably another 5 years for it to become relyable. Interesting idea. I would have liked more information on the idea, and not just what they THINK it will be like. Stuart
  5. I remember when the neon washers where just coming out, I saw one or two and thought it was something different. But everything is a phase with cars. It changes faster than cloths fashion. Take for instance stripes. How many cars did you see a year/year and half ago with stripes up the middle of the car. Loads! How many do you see now? ZERO! Unless it was a part of the original paint work. Now with the neon washers, how many do you see with 1 washer not working. Once they are broke they dont bother changing it because neon washers have gone out. Its the neon lights on the number plate now and the cheap ones under your car. For god's sake I have seen scooters with the under ones on. In 6 months time it will be something else like like that EL string around the windows or something/. Stuart
  6. That is true. However a car which has not been treated will rust very very quicky on our roads, unless you get it undersealed when it gets here. I have noticed that a few people have been asking about rear sills, and they where nearly all Imports, because they have not been undersealed. So the moral from this story is check your car see if it is undersealed, if not get it done. :D
  7. A few more ;) UK dont have the gay parking ariel, UK have proper 3 point seat belts in the back and not lap belts, UK have head light washers, UK dont need a radio expander (or what ever it is called) to listen stations on a stock radio, UK dont have chime sound coming from the dash when you reach 70mph. ;) Either way a Nissan 300ZX is a Nissan 300ZX. Its all good. Unless its an Import and then its called a "Fairlady" ;) I have never met a person who calles their import a Fairlady. Probably to embarrasses. Stuart
  8. Why do people go for a UK over a Import? Well, Cheaper insurance, You can get classic insurance on a UK, while its a lot harder to do the same with a Japanese Import, More powerful (Supposidly) ECU mapped for this countries fuel, Undersealed, Unusuall not to have lots of history, Because of history more chance of seeing if it is modified, Usually wont have the tits reved off it, Any HPI checks on the car will show any from it's entire life and not just from when it was in this country, Dark tinted windows and not orange tinted like Japanese Imports, Wider rear wheels, Some parts are cheaper, Firmer and better suspention, It shows MPH without having to buy converters, which lets face it often go wrong, Boost and oil are in PSI, (and not cats per-square ironing boards or what ever imports read) They are not resticted to 112mph, Extra cooling with larger radiator and larger fan, and, they have oil and diff coolers, Putting a cooler on when it comes into this country will not reverse the fact the car has been running with out one for 10 years already. Have proper rear fog lights, Head light bulb are a very comon are easy to get hold of, Seat belts are on B pillar and not on the door, A virtually all UK are leather interior, Fuse cover is in english so you know what is what, I am sure there are more reasons some people go for UK over Japanese Import Stuart
  9. Oh yeah. The leak is that bad the boot is now the boost space. It where all my leaking boost goes ;)
  10. You will have to tell me if it makes any change, and if it end up wasting much boost space.

    Sorry I was working.
  12. The times given for the Z are for the 2 seater Z which is quite a bit lighter
  13. Probably about 80% of Zs are Automatics
  14. If this does get the go a head, instead of trying to get cars which are closely modified, why not draw out of a hat who goes against who? Stuart
  15. I dont know how they worked out who won, because a number of times the time on the Z came up first so it crossed the line first.
  16. This may help http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/wheelstud.html
  17. I am sure you can just change the 1.
  18. Yep I have boost oil and water temp. The oil pressure is rather good I think. I put it in place as my stock one as the stock gauge hardly ever moved anyway.
  19. Ohhhhhhh really?I thought we where racing for pinks, like in Grease and some really naff car car film sequal. ;)
  20. Yes. It still runs cooler than normal, but it gets to operating temp in about 5 mins. Before it never got above 60ºC even after 30 mins of driving
  21. I have heard of a bonnet bulge but that is rediculas.
  22. Yeah there is a 10mm nut above the filter where it will go in as well as the stock one. It is infact where the US sender unit is placed. I dont know why its in a different place.
  23. I thought tyres HAD to have the European standard mark on them to be legal. Stuart

I thought it was when your brake light are not working the warning will light up. Have a part of you brake lights been converted into rear fog lights. Would that cause a problem?
  25. I watched a video from Thailand of GTO v Zs on a drag strip. Looked good fun. Stuart
