  1. I must be quite lucky at my Nissan dealers. Never had any problems getting parts. They looked at my chassis number once to find confirm whether it was a UK or Import.
  2. A lot of it is down to the people who buy the paper. At work we get virtually every major news paper in the UK and its laughable that papers like the Sun and Mirror are classified as newspapers. You talk about people in the middle east being brain washed. People who read those news papers are usually people who dont think for themselves, believe everything that is written in there and dont question anything. Stuart
  3. Be careful on a bike. The reason this law about restricting the engine power is becuase people where passing their test and then killing themselves on a powerful bike. The reason for the restriction is so people can get experience riding first. About 2 years ago I saw 2 brand new bike being ridden by people in their 40s (Midlife crisiss) driving down the middle of the road past traffic about 30 mph (Which I thought was way to fast) they came to a part of the road which was covered in gravel and lose stones, they tried to stop. Both came off their bike very hard because the wheels just disapeared under them. It was their in experience which caused them to crash. Motorbikes contribute to 1% of road traffic but account for 17% of road deaths. If I was you pass the normal test and get a smaller bike and be safe. Plus larger bikes cost a lot of money too. How long to chains last? I think they are expensive. Big tyres cost an awful lot for a bike and they dont last half as long as a car's. What ever you choose be safe!
  4. Ask Nissan to whether your chassis number is a UK or not. If it is get it in writing from Nissan that the car is a UK spec.
  5. The UK pictures are fake. For starters, that person was supposed to have an 8 hour beating, when I didnt see a mark on him. He was wearing an Iraqi football shirt just to show it was an Iraqi which is totally lame, plus the shirt looked brand new. The boots where laced up incorrectly. The pockets of the pants where empty where soilders in war will have every pocket filled with medical tools, maps, ammo. You just dont waste pocket space. The army does not use potatoe sacks to cover people's heads, how many potatoe fields are there in Iraq? The gun in the picture was not one the troops are using in the Gulf and the truck is which the picture is taken inside is again not used in the Gulf. The photographs are in black and white to hide the colour of the skin of the people in the photo. Black and white film is actually not very easy to come across and only a few places actually develop black and white photos. Plus nowadays every profesional news photographer will use digital pictures of which all are colour. The Mirror has not changed its description of the photographs. They said they where real photos of the things happening and now they are saying its an acurate representation of what is happening. Notice they have dropped saying they where genuine? Personally I think the Mirror should be held accountable but to prove it in a court of law that people died as a direct link to those pictures is hard. The terrorists will kill people for any reason and for no reason. This discusting beheading of a US worker would have happened whether or not these pictures came out or not. They would have just gave another reason for doing it. And lets not forget the killing of the Italian worker too who was filmed being exicuted and then sent to the media. Stuart
  6. All UK 300ZXs are T-Top, Twin Turbo and 2+2. Any NA, 2 seaters, slick top or convertable are imports.
  7. See if the hose is attached to the plenum. Here is the engine by numbers. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 The hose should go into the back right of the plenum (As you are looking from the front) number 23

is the photo meant to work?
  11. will increasing the engine CC make the compression change? I thought the only real way is to have a larger head gasket so the air isnt compressed as much
  12. Bore size x Stroke = Sweep Volume? Then the area of the piston x stroke = cylinder cc?

Most internet providers give users some free web space. Try using that. Macromedia is good for web design, but if you want simple designes you can you use Microsoft Word.
  14. No it doesnt ;) How do I work out volume sweep? When you work out CC size, do you just use piston size or do you also take into account the slight overbore for the piston rings too?
  15. I think you just brake don't you? ;)
  16. Its because the wipers actually go lower when you turn them off. Put them on intermittent, look at where they stop and then turn it off. They finish about an inch lower to help against wind resitance ;)
  17. No idea that the compression will be. I got stock gaskets as they are probably the best for what I am doing. I wanted copper gaskets but I couldnt find any, then I found a place which make them  HOw can you work out the compression?
  18. I cant think of anything which I dont like about it
  19. My radio surround doesnt fit on.
  20. Obvious are crane, engine stand, jacks, jack stands. A good tool kit with a large selection of sockets both big and small with hex sockets and alan key socket as there are quite a few of those. Have lots of extentions, large and small. There where a number of times where the long extention was too long and the short extention didnt reach. A big braker bar is very handy too as a lot of the bolts have probably never moved since it was put on. A wire brush helps a lot too. Torque wrench is a must as you have to put everything back on at the right setting. Screw drivers, get a set with lots of shapes and sized. I used a very long thin one to put the collets back on. you will find yourself needing the odd new tool every now and then but nothing really unusuall. Nothing that Halfords dont have. One tool which I probably saved a lot of time, is the arial with the magnet on the end. Picked up many an unreachable dropped bolt. :D
  21. Well I can dream
  22. Does the £400 a day include petrol costs? How often do they change the oil while doing this?
