  1. Well it certainley isn't me! ;)
  2. Totally agreed! Value of parts if you break it up, other than that a breaker might be interested but not for much if anything!
  3. All the best for the day mate, enjoy yourself :D :duffer: :duffer:
  4. Did you ring the council? If you did, I bet they said they'd look into it!!!!
  5. Yes that is correct. I may have a diagram for SMIC at home, but not with me at the mo, see what I can do later if no one else does so in the meantime Dave
  6. So what are you saying then Stu? Don't sit on the fence, say what you mean!!
  7. A quick link to the first post I put when I did mine.. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=362764&postcount=1 Apart from the 'Other' goodies I was fitting at the same time, the 60k service kit was.. 1) Cam Belt, 2) Water Pump, 3) Tensioner, 4) All associated bits 'n bobs, (springs, seals stubby hoses) 5) 3 x Belts, 6) Thermostat All of which come in a kit together, got mine from **** Not allowed to give links out e-mail me at 'anubis4120 @ msn.com' without the spaces or speech marks ;)
  8. You can get hold of the parts very easily (genuine NISSAN ones) and, like I say, there are how-to's on it. I did mine about four years ago, at the beginning of January, outside with no cover! I took a week off work, and just plodded along following the guide to the letter. Struggled a little bit here and there, and my dad came and gave me a bit of a hand, but finished it in three days if I remember correctly. That was starting about 10 in the morning, stopping for a few tea breaks and finishing at about 4 in the afternoon (as the light was fading) Here's a link to one >>http://www.ttzd.com/tech/60ktech.html Hope that helps..... and a quick one of mine during the operation...
  9. Why not give it a go yourself? It's not all that difficult a job, if you have basic car mechanical knowledge! There are on-line how-to's to see you through as well Dave
  10. You've got mail!!
  11. Si, someone's nicked your ariel mate!! ;)
  12. How about the club buys it??!!! ( The wheels were on the options list, so still in keeping with the OEM feel Nice find Si
  13. :D http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=125949
  14. Next week........ Fixing the fridge light, and the problems encountered! :D
  15. It's got a nice shiny new one in there now......... along with nice quiet bearings and all watertight  A good days work
  16. I'm surprised DHL accepted it like that!
  17. Can't remember the last time I was speeding in my Zed either!!.....  In fact I can't remember the last time I drove it!!
  18. It was still spinning at 1100 rpm with the one good arm!! ;) If the bearings hadn't gone I would never of noticed it until a catastrophic failure occurred!!
  19. There was a very good reason, nobody told them we were coming! Loads of cars suddenly turn up and people swarm all over the car park! Would be nice to phone in advance IMHO ;) And yes Si it is a very nice pub, especially for a Sunday meet
  20. ... the other day (in fact VERY noisy!) so, as I used to repair washers in a past life, I knew instantly what was wrong and what parts were required. I got on the phone direct to Creda parts (it's good having trade contacts ;) ) and decided to order the bearings as well as a new spider, as you never know until you take it out what the shaft will be like! Well once I'd taken it all apart, I remember now why I packed it all in, I was very glad that I'd got the spider...... :nono: The inside of the outter drum and the inner drum rear were all scored and well marked, I'm glad I was at home the other day when it went in to spin now :D Just wish I could sort Eliza out so easily!
  21. Not watching it, watching BGT & BGMT :D
  22. I agree that it's not perfect, but it's not replaced original, it's original original! And surely that is what a real car owners club would do, rarther than just a paying forum board? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the club, but this place will never be a real car club until it starts doing real car club things!
  23. Sorry david but I don't see your point here....... this is an original 20 year old Zed in original factory condition, exactly the sort of car the club could look at investing in
  24. Well it's the sort of thing that really serious car clubs do!
  25. Now that bodywork looks in really NICE shape!!!! :D
