  1. I was quite impressed with these wheels, so I made up this to see what they'd look like... What do you think?... They are 18" x 7.5", with the correct offset (43 mm) and PCD (5 x 114.3)
  2. I simply use Windows Media Player. Go into TOOLS, OPTIONS, COPY MUSIC and change settings accordingly. HTH

Rich, is there any chance of two club stand tickets for this?    Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease????????????????
  4. The 'clickin' noise wont come from in the engine bay, take a look at this page of the manual, it shows the positions of various relays, here And right where you say the sound is coming from, is where the ignition relay sits!!! It will be the battery!! HTH
  5. To save me re-writing it, take a look at this thread HTH
  6. I'd say that it's some sort of balance bar, but quite why, I have no idea, as the car it's fitted to is quite obviously still using the OEM rubber air filter pipe under the centre panel
  7. Quite a bit of work you have there, hope you've got a long weekend :D 1) Take your time, and, if you have a digi-cam, take plenty of pics so that you can se where everything goes. 2) Peice of cake, 4 or 5 10mm bolts, you just need a short extension for your socket wrench. 3) Sorry, no idea :D 4) Depends whats wrong with it? 5) Must look into this myself, as I'm going to be changing the brakes soon. 6) Should be straight forward, again take plenty of pics if you can for referance. 7) Peice of cake, just make sure that the rubber insert is in your socket 8) Hmmmmm, must do this myself :mac1: 9) Quite straight forward, just take your time when re-filling it. HTH
  8. Whilst sorting my central locking this morning, I've finally found the fault with my drivers side 'lecky window! Heres the symptons...... Play with unit, put back in car door, test all is fine, put door back together. Drive with window down, park, wind window up, all OK. Come back to car, press button NOTHING!!!! :headvswal Start all over again. Well I couldn't find anything wrong, until today, I very closly examined one of the output connections on the PCB, and it just moved a very tiny bit!!! A dry joint!! Soldering iron out, re-solder joint (after cleaning it first) and 'Hey-Presto!' it works :D Well it's all back togather now, so fingers crossed ;)
  9. Cheers mate for sending the drivers central locking unit so quickly :D all on and working now. YES!!!!!! At last it's all sorted out.
  10. Glad you had a really great time mate............ Ace place isnt it? :D
  11. As it turned out, I changed the battery and that solved the problem, although I was expecting it to come back last winter in the cold weather, but it didnt :D Nice to see one of my first subscribed/owner threads to come back to light :D
  12. Yeah, thanks Mark, as I was already working in the drivers door anyway I did a meter check on the in-line connector. I checked for incoming voltage (which was there) and outgoing voltage (which wasn't!!) That's when I then took everything apart and took out the unit, took it apart and found the damage. Should have this sorted by the end of the week. For anyone who is also having probs, if the fuse that Mark mentioned above is OK, then HERE'S the wiring diagramm from the on-line manual. This also gives you the colour codes for the in-line conector that I used for the voltage check. Also, for the JAP owners, HERE'S the translation for the footwell fuse box. The one you want is the white one in the bottom left corner.
  13. All the catorgory winners from JAPS this year, + a few photos aswell, HERE!!! A bit late, but I forgot to check back, as they took a while to put it all up ;)
  14. He, He!!!! :D
  15. Hopefully sorted, AndyZ is supplying one today :D Cheers Andy
  16. I've finally got around to sorting my central locking out. It doesn't activate the passenger side one. In short, what has happened is that, at some time, water has got into the control unit on the drivers door and shorted a few resistors out, and I'm assuming has blown the pcb board in there, so it doesn't work. The alarm control works fine, as it has a separate actuator to do this. What I'm after is either someone who is prepared to breath life back into the pcb, or does anyone have a replacement unit? The part number for the unit is 8058037P00, it is located in the drivers door (RHD) at the bottom of the locking mechenism. TIA
  17. Well I've not been on all week, for a few reasons, I'm looking after my kids for two weeks of their summer hols (and enjoying it loads :D ), I've also been concentrating on making sure the house is spotless 24/7 as it's now up for sale, and also Karen has been round here making sure I'm doing things right ;) But the best news is................................. I've got my Zed back (again!!!!) Yep I picked Eliza up this afternoon, after having to go back to the garage a week and half ago, due to the autobox failing again!! Apparentley it was the new torque convertor that failed, so they've put a new one in. It's taken twice as long to have the 'Refurb' repaired, than it took to have the autobox refurbed in the first place!! Anyway, heres hopeing that I don't have to go back again.
  18. What a suprise!!!!! I didn't get a phone call  So I phoned them this afternoon, and the same story as yesterday afternoon "it's on the ramps, we'll call you on Monday", "But you said that yesterday?" I said, "Yes, but we've been very busy today" So what was the point of saying that they'd ring me today, if other work has got in the way  Well they'd better have some news on Monday, otherwise it'll be a trip to the local CAB/Trading Standards!! Afterall, how long should I have to wait for an under warranty repair to be sorted?
  19. Well if you've followed the proceedure on the second page in the link, and you still don't have anything on the screen, I'd probably say that the unit is knacked!! (well the screen anyway)
  20. Thanks guys. Its defo not the linkage again, thats been fine since my local Nissan garage sorted it out. Incidentley, they were very helpfull, and 'seemed' to know what they were talking about ;) This is the original fault that I had in the first place, of no drive through the box. Anyway the guy had it on the ramps yesterday, and should be phoning me this morning about it, would be nice if he can sort it for tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. TBH, I'm wishing that I'd gone for the manual conversion, but now having spent all that money I can't just write it off so soon. (the money, not the car ;) )

Looks like you may be striking my name off the list for this, unless I can get my Zed back on Saturday. As you can imagine, I'm well p155ed off for this years show season.
  22. I had to go over to Birmingham yesterday for a important meeting with one of our bosses. So I thought I'd take the Zed over, and give it a run (as it hadn't had one this week), had a loverly drive down to Karens on Tuesday evening, then set off down the M69 on Wednesday morning. A really nice drive down the motorway, then onto the M6, missing the rush hour. Then turned off the M6 and onto the back roads, just came off a roundabout, and found I had no drive, in ANY GEAR!!!.................. AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats only three weeks after I picked it up, following a £1200 gearbox rebuild, to cure this exact problem in the first place!! Well it's back at the garage that did the work, so i'm now waiting for the end result! I wasn't best impressed, as I'm sure you can imagine ;)
  23. When I sold my last house, I'd brought it from new 2 years earlier, I made £79,000, not a bad profit for 2 years :D I wonder what I'll make on this one?
  24. I think most of us have had that problem............. Getting it up!! :x: But once it's up, it can go up very well :D
