He, He!!! :D The box packed up the other week, so I'm going for a fully uprated box along with a proper oil cooler for it aswell, it's costing about £1300, which I could have done without spending at the moment, but whats Barclaycard for? :D :rofl:

Well almost two hours late yesterday, I let my Zed go!! :( :cry: The rocovery truck arrived, late, but at least the driver was very good and spent 40 minutes making sure that he didn't do any damage to her. I'll explain, as the front towing eyes are so high up, when the winch rope is put onto the car it will pull on the underside of the front bumper, this I've found out to my cost when the car broke down the other week, as I've now lost some paint!! At least this guy was very carefull about it and, like I've said, took 40 minutes to get it on the truck. Anyway it's now at the garage down in Leighton Buzzard having the gearbox uprated, and I'm hopeing to be able to pick her up on Saturday, just in time for JAE. Once it's all finished I'll post up the full spec and costs, and his details and let you know how it is.

Sorry, can't do the convoy this year, as we'll be going from Grantham if I've got the Zed back. Otherwise we'll be going from Leicester, but in the Escort so i wouldn't want to show you guys up and leave you all standing ;) :rofl:

This is the Japanese Cherry Wood finish, they are available from goodseller16 on e-Bay, he's currentley running ads for two types of the right hand drive version, in your choice of finish....... Standard Kit and Full Kit I found it to be quite a good kit. HTH

I've got this..... It's the locking mechanism from the passenger door, complete with locking motor, but I've got to admit, it doesn't resemble your picture at all. £20 if it's any good to you, and I'll be at JAE on the Sunday.

Right Mark I've just had a quick look at mine. You'll need the centre console switch from a JDM zed as well, this way you'll get the right switching method. There are four wires going into the switch, two will be the output wires, along with a +12v in and a -12v in. The system works much the same way as the electric seats, it's on a polarity switching method. this means that, depending which way the switch is pressed, depends which way the current flows, and mirror goes (in/out) The two wires that go to the mirror, will be bi-directional. I don't know of any diagram that exists at the moment, but when you have the mirrors and switch, give me a PM and I'll check which is which for you. Hope that is of help to you.

Dave, take off the indicator units and make sure that the plugs fit properly. When I fitted my second hand 99 bumper, I got the indicators, but then found out that the old plugs dont fit the newer units. I rectified it by simply bending the pins and forcing the old plug on tight, and its never failed since. Some people just chop the old wiring plug off and bodge somthing else on. Either way its a good place to start. HTH

No its not the case, you have a switch in the centre console that folds/unfolds them whenever you want to (even when driving!!)

I've got one of these aswell, but have you noticed that it's left hand drive? How many 99's were left hand drive?.............. As far as I know NONE!! ;) And the fuel filler is in the wrong place for the seats!! :D

The link from goodseller16 is the one I've got and also Bee Gee Vinz as well. Not a bad kit, although mine is starting to lift on the centre of the dash top strip, but this could be a number of reasons. I've not heard any complaints from vinz regarding his. All the pieces come with Scotch 3M adhesive tape on the back and the proper alcohol cleaner to wipe over your dash, then the primer to prep the dash. Was reasonably quick delivery as well. HTH

Well I've taken the plunge and have gone for a rebuild of my existing auto box. This will be upgraded internals and a large oil cooler. I considered the manual conversion, but with the prospect of sourcing all the parts, and that I'd be in the same situation as with a second hand auto (having it fitted/no guaramtee), although I wouldn't mind a manual, I opted for the upgraded auto instead. I'm a bit lazy in that respect and I do like my auto. So with a rebuild and the large cooler, I should be OK for quite some time............... and you never know, I might even go for some more power ;) Thanks to everyone who has sugested things and offered help, it's all appreciated :bow: :bow: You guys are the tops :D Especial thanks to the one who put me onto the garage that its going to ;) :bow: :duffer: And I'm hoping that I'll be able to pick her up just in time for JAE (Sunday)
