    FPMSL
  3. Glad you got it sorted, Lincolnshire can be a bit of a pain at times. I assume you're pointing it towards the Belmont transmitter now? :D As I have Sky and Freeview, I see the only problem to only having Sky is that in about five years time there won't be any analogue signal being transmitted anymore, so for every TV and Video/DVDR that you have it'll need some sort of Digital receiver. At about only £30 for a decent box most people can receive upto 86 channels at the moment staright off (hopefully even more in the future) OK so some will need a new ariel, and some cant pick up a decent picture yet, but once the analogue is switched off there will be more power to transmit and at a better signal rate. A lot of people won't need to upgrade their ariel at all, my dad has one on the roof that hasn't been changed since the early 70's along with the cable as well, but he recieves perfect digital signals.
  4. Cheers guys :duffer: After having the job promised to me way back in November, I found out the other week that they can't take anybody on now :headvswal But there is also light at the end of that tunnel as well, as I phoned an old mate, and asked him if he had any jobs going, and he said that he had, so that is now in the process of being sorted. So, so far this year none of my plans have gone to plan :D as I should have had the Zed back on the road by now as well :headvswal but then I do keep adding to the wish-list on that score ;)
  5. John, for when you are in Egypt..... ;) and... Enjoy your stay
  6. Just been told today that my house sale is finally going through!! :D :nana2: After all it'll only have been 11 weeks! Now some won't see that as very long in the general scheme of house selling/buying, but this was supose to be a straight forward no hassle sale. She had the money agreed from a divorce settlement, so was a cash buyer, and I'm currently not buying anywhere else, so it should have gone through in about 6 - 7 weeks. The problem arrose at week 7 when I asked what was the delay, and found out that it wasn't quite so simple after all, as in... He had to get the settlement agreed through solicitors, then had to apply for a new/re mortgage, and that's what I've now been waiting for :headvswal It would have been nice to have been told from day one that I'd have to wait for all this to be settled first  The biggest problem is that I've been out of work for the last 8 weeks, so have had to be useing my redundency to pay the bills. It will have cost me about £2000(ish) extra in paying bills that I wouldn't of had to, had the sale gone through on time :headvswal I'm sure you can imagine how p155ed off I am at the moment, but also happy that I finnaly have a date sorted.
  7. Two pages! Is this enough response for you? :D The problem with these cars is that nearly all of them are over ten years old now, and things don't last forever. And as for post replies, I was begining to think that I was the 'Kiss Of Death' for every thread I posted on :D
  8. Sounds like a great idea. I have my kids every other weekend, so if a show falls on these dates, then I would probably not attend, as I know the kids will be bored, and half way through the day it'll be "When are we going home?" which is the bit I want to avoid :D I'm not being selfish about it, but I want to enjoy the time with the kids and also enjoy a show.
  9. Cheers bud, it's not like I'm never down your neck-of-the-woods ;) But would have to get something sorted about the insurance before risking it driving it that far, especially that I can't tax it untill it's insured :headvswal

Yep just checked mine, it is No 56 and even the cover is written in Japanese. But then you don't have to be able to understand what is being said, when the view is just fantastic. I'd highly recomend this edition to anyone! Just a shame mine is a rip-off copy with w really pour rip-off copied cover.

Ooooooo what a nice collection  I've got the Z car story one (volume 56 I think) great dvd, but it's all in Japanese ;)
  12.  Cheers for that, that could be the answer :nana2: :hyper:
  13. Doesn't it have to be insured by the other person? I see where you're coming from, but just thought that the car has to be insured by someone else to be used in this way, or maybe not, I'm not sure
  14. Signing the Escort over to my wife isn't an option, as I'm seperated (Hmm, that reminds me, I think it's about time I made that permanent) As for anywhere other than Grantham, unless it's after I have it insured, then, legally, I darn't drive it very far. There is (or was) a bodyshop just around the corner from me (about 500 yds away infact), I might go an see them in the morning, at least it's worth a try, but could cost me quite a bit more in £££££
  15. My Zed has been off the road since December for various reasons, so is currently sat on my dad's driveway with no insurance and on a SORN. Previously I was running it on Classic Insurance, with my crappy Escort as my daily driver. My new plan is to get shot of the Escort and run the Zed on a daily basis (mainly as I no longer work 20 miles away, so no need) Now the Escort insurance runs out on the 24th April, and I wanted to start up with the Zed from that date (or earlier if poss) but now comes the problem. The Zed requires some bodywork to be done to it before I put her back on the road. I estimate that it'll be at the bodyshop for about a week (give or take) I've been waiting for a spoiler to turn up, but that is currently delayed, so i decided to book the car into my local bodyshop and get the other work done anyway, then take the spoiler in later. But I now find out that due to unforseen circumstances, my bodyshop guy can't fir her in before the 24th, so i went to see the guy I used to use, and he cant fit her in either!! :headvswal So, as title, I'm a little pee'd off now, as it's looking like I either run the Zed without the bodywork being done (which i don't want to do) and get her in later, at a cost of not haveing a car for a week, or extend the insurance on the Escort for a month, and hope to be able to get the bodywork done ASAP. What do you guys recon? I've already missed the big joint meet at ferrybridge, and it's looking like I'll miss the next Midlands meet at The Boat (both in the Zed I mean) :headvswal :headvswal
  16. Good to hear (read) that Dave :duffer: Bet you're happy? :D
  17. That vid, and a lot others, are on the DVD that I was doing earlier in the year (it's also FULL screen). As I STILL haven't moved house yet, I'm still able to burn you a full copy of the DVD off, delivered to your door for £2.50 (profit to charity, as always) it contains loads of stuff, all Z related, including ALL the Z32 adverts, + 240, 260, 280, Z31, Z32 & Z33.
  18. Baby seat in the back, for a new-born? Surley the little one should be in a rear-facing seat in the front? I had the same problem with my Capri, no way would a rear facing seat fit in the back, and it wasn't all that good in the front Recaros either! :D I'm sure that the discussion regarding child seats in the back has been covered before, but not about babies. Here you go, the law regarding kids in the car >>> http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/law/index.htm HTH Dave
  19. £32 for a bit of flimsy cut metal  fook off!
  20. And once you've been here long enough, you'll come to realise that it's called 'Banter'.
  21. Take a chill-pill, as Greg works at ZTech, so he should know what he's talking about! It often happends on here and other places, that someone answers a question, and later someone else will say the same thing, so what? It just goes to show that the answer was correct in the first place. After all, it's better to have something confirmed than only receive one response.

Rich, Are we going to be somewhere in the area marked in Blue? As in right next to the FOOD stand? :D I'm a wusse, I've booked a room at the Holiday Inn :D because Karen won't camp, and I want to be there for both days (car permitting this time  )
