  1. Service Manual page here >> http://300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=bf&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=12&design=default&total=46 Lower right hand side of that page, ..... As for the wiper control, I did try this and wasnt successfull, so gave up. A small 3mm LED will fit, but it'll need a 470ohm resistor attaching to it, but the 'hole' is very restrictive and also the contact is touch only. So basically I found it not to be worth the effort the first time. But saying that I'm about to re-do all of mine again, so I might give it another attempt. ;) Shouldn't be too much of a problem then, as posted yesterday, 5mm LED + 470ohm res should do it. HTH Dave
  2. Hmmmmmm interesting!! Mines a 92 JSpec and defo does not have one. The UK (On-Line) service manual does show a lamp in the main window switch, but both of my US Spec manuals defo don't show lamps  So it's on some but not all! If it's one of these twist-in plastic bases, then it sounds like the cluster pods, which require a 5mm LED with a 470 Ohmm resistor, then soldered to the contacts. But a pic of one would confirm this for defo. Dave
  3. He, he! :D Just ordered something from Australia, it has 300 on it, but that doesn't refer to the 300ZX! But it's for a 300ZX though. It'll be going with a few other bits 'n bobs that I've ordered from the UK, some this week and some a little while ago from Danny! :D Unless anyone guesses, I'll post the answer up when it's all finished. ;)
  4. It's those Marlon Brando cheeks (The Godfarther!!) I think ;)
  5. Sorry Andy, didn't realise you were away, my apologies. :duffer:
  6. So you're prepared to go to all the expense of having one shipped over (over £1000) and then the potential hassle of getting permission to copy it over here. Then you've got to have them made to order here, which wont be cheap as one-offs never are. This one has an additional bottom lip added. And yet there is already a version of a similar one here in the UK for only £412 (+ delivery) + a bit of modding to taste! Sorry guys but I think you're all mad!! ;)
  7. I've just replied.... >> http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=806750&postcount=40
  8. If you like it that much, why dont you buy the one that Luke sells, and modify it to match? A damm sight cheaper, all be it a little more work involved.
  9. I noticed this problem early last week, so I've no idea, and nobody in the know has answered this post, so probably wont know  Anyway, you cant get rid of me that easily ;)
  10. Although I'd love to come on this trip, I must have Eliza fully functional first, as a leaking rear crank seal is not a good idea for such a long trip, and I won't have the money to sort this and a couple of other problems for a few months yet :( So I am a contender, but wont know for sure just yet.
  11. Yep that is correct, other options are here >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=82551
  12. Neil, I've done this mod and run it from the side light wire in the pod, but can't remember which one it is. I've got to take my pod off tomorrow anyway so will have a look while I'm there :D I'll try to post back tomorrow morning/lunch time before I go to work, otherwise it'll be about this time tomorrow night, if that's all right? Dave
  13. Thanks Barry :duffer: Nice to be back, although it doesn't seem like five minutes since i was last here ;)
  14. Well I can only assume my payment has gone through as I have PM's as well. So it looks like you're stuck with me for another year ;) Nice to be told following all the trouble I've had this week!
  15. £5750 on the windscreen ;) so i bet it won't be below £5500
  16. You're probably right, as I did watch them originally two nights following each other :D
  17. I think the school girl is in part two
  18. I'm remembering the good things my Ex did, and like i say, I'm soooooo glad she fooked off!!!!
  19. IF!!!! i'd ever been able to buy my Eliza in the first place  my ex would NEVER of let me use the house for bits and bobs, and defo no spending on upgrades!!! Oh I'm glad she fooked off ;)
  20. I've not had a woman living with me for over 3 1/2 years now, which was wiered at the time to be suddenly single again, but it does have it's plus points, like having all the interior panels all over the lounge floor while I was doing the re-trim :D having the headlamps and rear lamps while modding them on the table for a few days!
  21. Nope, didn't meet him, or anyone for that matter. It was only a few months after i split from my Mrs, so was all on my own :( and didn't know anybody from the club back then either ;)
  22. You can always tell an I.T. Tech as opposed to an Engineering Tech ;)  BTW, mine dosen't have one of them, but then I don't need a short shifter!! :D
  23. Yeh tis KA$H's mota 'n his krew inda bckgrnd bouy!!! ;) Photo's taken at JAE 2003. Hers a close up of the engine bay..... (taken by me ;) ) :D
