  1. Yep, that's right, St Trinian's is BACK. And it's on general release 21st December. You may remember Girls Aloud earlier in the year dressed like St Trinian's girls, well that's because they are in the film..... All be it not all the way through, apparently they play members of the school band! Also stars, Russell Brand, Rupert Everett, Colin Firth and Lily Cole! This has been a Public Service posting by Daves_Zed ;)
  2. Yeah, that'll sort it as well ;)
  3. Hope you get the subsidence sorted soon, before the house falls on your Zed!! ;)
  4. Just a faulty unit then, only real way to tell for sure is to replace it with another one, doubt anyone would charge much for one! But saying that, if the bulbs are old, they could becoming high resistance, and that would affect the unit, giving a false readout! Worth just checking the bulbs, if you happen to have four new ones laying around! ;)
  5. Faulty unit, as above! OR, it's been bodged! Is it UK or JSpec? And, if JSpec, where are your Fogs?
  6. It's the 'Stop/Tail Warning Lamp' >> See link >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=41352 If all of your rear lamps are lite normally, then it'll be a brake lamp out. If all of your brake lamps work properly as well, then it'll be the unit that is located on the back of your drivers side rear lamp assembly. HTH Dave
  7. Apparently I look a bit like Rowan Atkinson  And as I've been reminded of this fact since he first came on the scene in '79 I've given up objecting to it ;)
  8. Are you running with the OEM air-box, or an aftermarket cone type filter (APEXI/BlitZ etc)? Reason I ask is if you o have a cone type installed, then you're probably sucking water into the MAF, thus buggering them up. If this is the case then you've got to place some protection to stop the water from getting there, ie, the original flexy plastic splash shield for below, and then check out for water seepage from above (this is where mine was coming from, now sorted ;) ) But if you have the OEM air-box still installed, then I think you'd best get your Zed hooked up to a ConZult and checked over, as that doesn't sound very good at all. HTH Dave
  9. Not very Christmassy, is it? ;)
  10. 'kin ell, I'm getting old, I'm turning into my dad!!! :mac1:
  11. What I'm listening to!!!......      Frank Sinatra & Bing Crosby!! White Christmas, no not the film (that's called 'Holiday Inn') but on the computer. I've just downloaded two albums of good old fashioned Christmas songs (NONE of the Slade tosh you hear everywhere) to get me in the festive spirit!!
  12. The fuse for both the ASCD (Cruise) and A/T Control Unit are the same The circuits are together, see wiring diag.. >> CLICK HERE I'd say you've got some sort of a short within the ASCD circuit, thus blowing the fuse, but it's going to take some detecting. First get hold of a stack of fuses!! ;) Only joking, well get a few anyway. Using that link above, will take you to the wiring diagram, if you click anywhere on that page it'll take you further into that section of the manual until you find the Trouble Diagnostic part, then have a good read through that and see if it'll help you, hopefully it will! Obviously I don't need to tell you not to use the Cruise in the meantime ;) Best of luck, and sorry I can't just say straight off what could be wrong, but is will defo be a short, so i hope you've got a multi-meter handy! Dave
  13. Also known as an AFM! :D All sorted (well will be tomorrow evening), got one coming in the post, will be here tomorrow (24Hr Post) so will get it fitted straight away before I leave work, as it was a bit of a bugger to nurse hometonight (it's only 1mile!!) ;)

  15. That's interesting, just tried to order it on-line, and his automated system isn't excepting ANY forms of credit or debit cards! :headvswal :headvswal
  16. Thanks guys, I did look but couldn't find them, so I put 'Badge' in the search section and it came up with nothing!! Just looked again, and it's in the 'Other New Parts' section  :mac1: I'll try to get hold of Luke, and get him to post one over.
  17. Does anyone know who is currently selling the Red 99 spec front badge? Discovered that my badge is missing, sometime between a week ago yesterday and last Tuesday! Either someone has prised it out or it fell out! Either way it was the cause of my problems this weekend, with the rain creeping in the hole and onto the filter! So I now need to replace it, before I bugger the replacement MAF up!! ;)
  18. Bloody hell mate! Really sorry to see this, hope to see it back in the new year Chris. Hope Shel is all alright? All the best to you both, and have a good Xmas. Karen & Dave
  19. Defo fubared! Let's hope Snoopy can help me out with his old one! Bloody typical, just got a good pay packet for Christmas as well. Well I won't be having as good a time as I thought now.
  20. Nope, 2500 revs max again! But it did start off OK, and reved well, but after a couple of streets it started imiting the revs again. But there is a possibility that it may still be damp! So I'm back home now and the MAF and filter are back off and on top of the storage heater. I'll see what they are like later.
  21. I'm already having some ;) afterall, I can't afford to go out, I might need to buy a new MAF yet
  22. Cheers for that bud, it may come in handy. I'll know in the morning when I put it back on (still in the airing cupboard at the mo drying out) :D
  23. Arrrr thanks guys, I'm touched!! ;) It's really nice that all you top guys have helped me yet again!!
  24. Ermmm, I hope it just dries out!
