  1. I want to get a new steering wheel, but where do i get hub adaptors from? Can anyone reccomend anyone, who sells wheels and adaptors together? cheers
  2. Just put a re-core rad in my car. Filled it up (with the engine off), then started the engine and put the blower on full - waiting for the level to drop, so i could top it up. Thing is the level aint dropped! Is this ok? The hater is blowing hot air, and the water in the rad and on the temp gauge is getting hot as it should, but last time i did it (old radiator), it took hours of topping up to get it to hold the water level! Sorry bout all these questions - had a few things go wrong at once!
  3. Thanks mate! I though the fan might be like that, but had to check just in case! Cheers - Mike ;)
  4. Right, should the fan come on when i start the car ? Cuz mine does, all the time! Also, should a battery need to be charged wen brought brand new - before putting in the car? Cheers - Mike

  6. If you go to halfords you will see them on the shelf - however there is an extra wire on the Jap spec bulbs - Just take the wire off the j-spec bulb and solder it to the base of the halfords one ! Eazy Peazy:D
  7. Ok i know this is lame but can anyone tell me where the alternator is and what it looks like? I have taken out the radiator, so im guessing its behind that somewhere ?!? What does it look like ?
  8. Thanks guys - got the rad end tank from nissan (in Exeter). Took 2 weeks to deliver and cost 36 quid! Couldnt find one anywhere else Thanks again for your help! :D
  9. Thanks matey will check it out !!
  10. PS. HAPPY NEW YEAR !
  11. Ive just taken out my radiator, to fit a new end tank and drain plug (thanks pete), When i removed the old end tank i found the rad is full of rusty bits of cr@p. Should i take it to a specialist to get it flushed before putting it back in the car? Or just give it a good hosing ? ps. The end tank is a bitch to crimp back on!!! :o
  12. will they check the alternator? Has anyone got a pic of where its located ?
  13. Got a new battery the other day. The bloke in the shop said " Is it the same battery as the UK spec?" And i said yes! I have a N/A import and obviously the UK spec is Twin Turbo only! I didnt think this would be much of a problem. However as ive been driving about ive noticed the volt meter slowly dropping in the car - to as low as 10 volts at one point - but when i revved it, it would go back up to just over 12volts! Got in the car today and its too flat to start the car! How do i check if its the wrong battery or whether its not charging properly? Thanks for your help ;)
  14. Yea mate, its pretty snug in there! I have noticed that with my old battery my volt meter used to read around 13 volts, and this one is just under 12 ! Is this ok ?
  15. Thanks a lot stu, and everyone else. Just managed to get in. And ive just put a new battery on ! However now the battery tie down bar wont fit over the top of the battery!! It will have to stay loose ! The main problem is over, and i can enjoy xmas again! lol Thanks again all, (especially SMW1);)
  16. I went to work last night and left my Zed on the drive all night. Ive just returned home and for some reason, the battery has gone flat over night. The led in the car isnt even flashing! This wouldnt be a problem, but for the fact i have no door keys for the car! The only key i have is for the ignition, everything else is remote central locking!!!! How on earth can i get in without putting the window through? Is there a way of undoing the bonnet from outside the car? Im really stuck! Thanks for any help - Mike

The ECU is in the passenger footwell, under the carpet, under some well crafted wood. Where the passenger puts their feet!
  18. Thanks for your help guys - ive learnt something now !!;)
  19. What do superchargers do different from turbo's ? And has anyone done it to a N/A zed before? Just wondering, as im quite interested

Christ. He knows less than me !
  21. Perhaps i wasnt clear enough! I dont want to go the way of the flamer kit! Drilling holes in my exhaust and shovin two spark plugs in is not my idea of fun! I just want to get them naturally, by popping the gas whilst decelerating, that sort of thing! Thanks for the link though! ;)
  22. i know some of you will raise your eyebrows in disgust, but i want to get flames out of my 300zx. Its a non-turbo, jap spec. I have been told that simply de-catting will solve this problem, is this right? I was also told that jap cars generally over fuel, thus making them easier to flame. Thanks for any help -
  23. Wouldnt like to be in a 5 turbo when that got smashed up !! Lethal little motors! Bring it on
