I used Hotshots - its in a orange container (from halfords) wit a full tank of decent fuel it definatly made a difference to smoother throttle responce. I was quite chuffed with it:dance:

Whats the score with triple plate clutches? Are they the best type to get?? my mate tells me you have to rev the engine more on take off, but they are shite hot for take offs!?!?!

Is the clutch fluid pot the one that us all black ? I dont know how to post pics otherwse i would, but the one just infront of the brake fluid pot?!? If so ive checked it and its half full - in between cold and hot setting. So i gather it aint fluid. Its odd because it seems to go into gear with no problem at all, an if you put the acelerator half way down it will accelerate nicely, its just if you boot it it the revs soar. The clutch still seems to bite in the same place it did before!! Ive never had this with a car before, when the clutch went on my R1916V and on my RsT -it just wouldnt go into gear etc.

Yea mate, when i stopped it was stinking of burnt clutch.Im gonna try it in the morning again, and if i get no joy its time toget it checked out! How much does an uprated clutch go for, new? :(

Right then,after a long drive, i booted it today in first gear, when i went to change to second it wouldnt go in, and when it eventually did it crunched like fook, then the revs soared and the car accelerated slowly! When i stopped and pulled away again, the clutch started slipping like mad (in all gears) and i barely made it up the hill to my house! Have i blown my clutch ? I have left the car for a couple of hours now and im scared to drive it, because i will break my heart Is there any suggestions for this - or is it sh@gged?:( Cheers - mike

Ive found and fixed it!!! Thanks people - there were 3 other fuses gone too !!!!!!!!!!!! Now, the light that tells me te door is open works, stereo works and i dont know what else - but something else works too!!! At least i know for further reference - always pack the maglite !!:D Cheers again

Drivers footwell??????????? Didnt even know there were any fuses there! Are they under the carpet (like the ECU on the passenger side) ? Nice one mate- i will check it out tomorrow!! Thanks again :D

Whilst wiring my stereo up today, i blew a fuse. Trouble is ive checked under the bonnet and none of the blade fuses appear gone. Also, the clock works fine, its just the stereo/neons and the volt meter that was wired to the stereo/and my amps etc. Does anyone know if there is nother fuse box somewhere else in the car? Its a j reg jap import non turbo (dont know if this makes a difference). Ive also checked the stereo/amp fuses and it aint them! Please help, otherwise the local autoelec bloke will be making a killing off me :( Cheers -Mike

Just a quick note on trackers - Only 3 cop vehicals in the country are equipped to track your car if i gets nicked - and 1 helicopter! Sound good ? Sounds pathetic to me - how much is a tracker a year to run? Good old police eh ps. 2 of the cop cars are in avon and somerset !! Miles away from most of the country :cry:

Lets put it this way! Im getting the materials free, and th bloke is using a guilloteen (excuse spelling) and he works for free! So my out goings are only time! Company time (and goods) - if you know what i mean

Im thinking about starting to make a slam panel for my 300zx. Only trouble is i need the dimensions or a cardboard template of one. If i am succesfull i will go into production of them. I understand that they are in the region of £80 to buy ?! But im going to try and knock them out for about 30 or so. Please could some kind person, send me the dimensions, or better still a cardboard template of the slam panel ? I cant offer much in return but a huge discount on a new slam panel!!
