  1. James Funge? is he a regular member or a trader and how to contact him please. Thank you all for your views. It's just what I wanted. Shall probably give Dan a view on his clutch, also been checking out ACT. I have some time to play with as it only slips when I floor the loud pedal in 4th. Thanks, Stu.
  2. My clutch is starting to slip in 4th and 5th under scceloration, so I intending a heavy duty high performance cluitch replacement. So thought of fitting new flywheel. How about an aluminium one? your views welcome.
  3. Ask the seller to send it as a used radiator worth £50 and you will pay little duty. Only thing is, if it should get lost or damaged in transit you would not be able to claim against DHL or who ever and have lost all your money.
  4. Thanks, something to think about in the future when my present 17in tyres are worn down.
  5. I was thinking about moving to 18ins but wondered if the wheel arches were rolled what width rim I could go to. Any one tried it.
  6. I would't bother going to an average garage for tracking. The problem of hicas comes up quite often on hear. Thing is some people come up with ideas on hear and some might work. I need a new boss as I have a momo steering wheel. Is your steering wheel standard? I no little about it and hope one day I get it solved. Better people on hear than me to advise you.
  7. Didn't know what year it was. My hicas is all electric and still have problems. From other threads it would seam worked from the power steering hicas problems are easyer solved. ie: such as checking oil level.
  8. Is your hicas electric or hydraulic
  9. This looks interesting. But I would like to hear from someone who can say I recomend this as a good way foe tyre clearance without damage.
  10. What dose it matter. My MOT is in Km but I run at mph. So you are safe for the speed cameras. No big deal.
  11. Thanks for the advice. Shall maybe try to buff out most of it, and just live with 2 or 3 short scrstches until I'm ready to respray as I still have other worck to carry out first. Found an old thread and the guys on it had great belief in something called G3. Have no idea where to get it, or if it's any better than Tcut. Shall just carefully work at it. Thanks.
  12. 10 months clear and now scratches over near side wing and door. Starts off faint like a three pronged someting. Maybe a kids bag with a buckle I thought. A wavey line. But then for about 2ins the scratches feel deeper and look clear as if through the paint then lighten again onto the door. So any advice please. I know Tcut wont do it, but have heard of something else on hear. Never used a one, but can get the use of a electric buff. Sorry to go on so long but I'm sure many of you know how it feels. Happened between 10.15pm and 8.10am. So I've ruled out a kids bag on the way to school as it,s street parking.[metalic]
  13. Shell V Power. Goes very well, very fast. Just wanted to point out some of the problems of increased power.
  14. I put the power up with chip and electronic booster. Engine took no harm. But my standard clutch can not take it and have to drive it like before I had the job done. Apart from the odd blast then you see the revs going faster than you are. Shall be replaced with a high performance clutch when I can. So be aware.
  15. Present insurer is Norwich Union. £592. Excess fairly high. Due again in August, shall be shopping around. Did find a better quote by chance latter, and that was with Virgin.
  16. Took my Z 200 miles to Zedworld. You will get very good advice on what you need to do and what fits your budget. They know the car inside and out.
  17. I asked the very same question on hear, and from advice from one member on hear who said if you do go de cat be sure your prepared to fork out for new turbos. I took his advise, and didn't.
  18. On a 500 mile journey lots of motorway and steady 70mph in my TT Z I managed 24mpg. But when you start having fun I just don't know. Could it be 10mpg? I suppose a 16-18mpg average would sound ok.
  19. Seams the boss is what I should be checking into. Can you expand on MJP. do you have an address? and thanks to everyone for there input to my problem.
  20. Each time I release the petrol cap there is rush of air pulling into the tank and have wondrerd if that was normal.Performance is good and have never had petrol comming out. No help to your problem just thought I would add some information.

  22. Several miles on a straight road and my HICAS light would come on. Some ware, so had rear hicas arms and bushes replaced. Sadly not solved the problem. My MOMO stearing wheel is about 2 minutes off centre and needs turned back anti clock by as much. But once inside boss discovered red wires and green and red which work the horn. But olso from earth yellow connecter for something and white 4 pin plug. Is this the HICAS connection or was it something to do with an air bag on original wheel? So to move the wheel what you think? Big centre nut and move it on the splines. If it will budge. Or move it round on the alan key fixings. Or is it not worth the bother because these wires connot be plugged in. Help or views welcome. Quick edit. Bought the car last August and the HICAS light has always come on.
  23. Just keep it in high boost and be easey on the pedal when you want to drive steady. No need to switch.
  24. I have a 1996 SWB. So shall that be plastic, and what is its capacity in litres. Never filled it full from empty. Only know it costs a lot these days.
  25. Thanks forr the info. Not sure what to do since Glen mentioned about the risk to the turbos.
